Poor level of service. Keep us waiting at the table. Requested service and it took 15 additional minutes for someone to show up. Not a single mention about if the food was good or if we needed anything else at the table. We accidentally dropped a glass with water and rather than changing the table cloth the waiter only took two cloth napkins and placed them on top of the water. Requested twice additional ketchup which never came. The worst service (or lack of it) I have received in a supposedly prestigious restaurant.

1000% Recommend RTR. The beef stroganoff is EXCELLENT. The burger w brie AMAZING. Staff was wonderful, very present but not rushed. Try the black tea with cherry compote. Thank you RTR! 😍

The staff is very rude. Especially the manager/managers. Overheard ALL tables around me having issues with the service. The manager told a lady, when asked about a 30 min delay in a reservation seating in NEW YEAR’s EVE that she “didn’t have to be there, and could go home instead if she wanted”. For the price you pay you expect the service to be nicer, especially in special dates. Just bad and tacky.

Outstanding special occasion dining experience in a beautiful restaurant. Everything about the evening was A+++. Went for a very memorable New Years Eve dinner.

Habíamos visto el menú de BRUNCH y se nos antojó pero no especificar días en su promoción o no sabemos qué pasó pues ni nos explicaron, ya sentados nos llevaron el menú del LUNCH y nos dijeron que eso es lo que había. La reservación la hicimos a las 11.45 hora de BRUNCH y además nos hicieron dar tarjeta de crédito para hacer la reservación. Se equivocaron en uno de los platos que nos llevaron. Pedimos no comer cebolla y nos sirvieron el caviar ¡ con cebolla !!! Su Avocado toas lo sirvieron en un pan de caja blanco......francamente muy mala su comida. No volveremos

This is my second time at the Russian Tea Room, this time with my husband who was a little reluctant to go to a tourist place for lunch. We live in Manhattan, after all! For me , it was iconic NYC. So, bear that in mind as your read this review. I ordered something "Russian". He ordered Eggs Benedict. My Chicken Kiev was very good but very small. Small, especially for $48. All around us were towers of cakes and cookies and small sandwiches. I prefer real food rather than cake, and who needs all that sugar? Think A1c. But the place is gorgeous! It's like eating in a private museum. Amazing paintings in lovely frames cover the walls. If nothing else, you should go for that. The decor is elegant. This is imperial Russia for sure. The owners are Ukranian so you don't have to think you are supporting Putin. And the food was good.

History of the place is amazing. Great art and ambiance. Food was so-so. The quality doesn’t match the price. Service was lacking.
