Rustic Kitchen has been serving the local Mar Vista community and surrounding cities for over eight years now! We are a family owned restaurant, sourcing local ingredients and serving up quality dishes that reflect our southern California heritage as well as our family’s Italian roots. Chef Noelle likes to focus on quality ingredients and straightforward preparations. Customer favorites include steak frites, Branzino, chicken pot pie, pan roasted salmon, BBQ pork chop and our super popular RK burger. The wine list is second to none having been recognized by Wine Spectator magazine with their level two Best of Award of Excellence (2-glass) for 5 years in a row. We offer over 60 wines by the glass, flights and more. RK is here to make your wine journey fun and educational. Sad they have announced that today, 1/04/25, is their last day open for business. This has been a go to place for great wine and dining in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Best wished to them in future endeavors.

Rustic Kitchen has been our favorite neighborhood restaurant since they opened nine years ago. The food has always been excellent, and owners John (sommelier) and Noelle (chef), and their staff, have made it a warm, welcoming place. Unfortunately, as you can tell from the way this is written, they are closing the restaurant as of January 4, 2025. We will miss them and Rustic Kitchen very much.

We have always loved Rustic Kitchen and will miss it dearly. It has always been a warm, friendly local spot with lots of menu options, great wine and wonderful owners and staff.

Our latest visit was a huge disappointment. The dinner came out very quickly even before we got our drinks. One entree (the branzino) never came until we finally asked for it. The one appetizer that we ordered was never served. The Brussel sprouts were undercooked. The short ribs w/polenta and branzino were flavorless and underwhelming. We’ve been to the restaurant a few times and always enjoyed the meals. This time was a real miss!!! I sure hope this was an off night for the restaurant. Not sure we’ll be back. 👎

Tuna Tartare was fabulous. It came with taro choose which would have been enough but I ordered baguette. I was thinking it would be a crunchy French baguette but it wasn’t. Not great. Wine selections are vast and interesting. I had a lovely glass of Moschofilero. Yummy.

A neighborhood gem with well crafted food and an excellent wine list. Always offering seasonal specials too. You can make this a regular in your restaurant rotation!
