Rustic Root showcases our take on New American Comfort food with a California twist. Classic dishes are rooted in tradition, including regional dishes from around the country. All reimagined with fresh and local ingredients and our Chef’s modern flair.

Our Signature drink menus offer our take on timeless classic cocktails as well as Rustic Root originals using creative spirits and the freshest ingredients.

    When we arrived for our reservation, we were told the rooftop was closed for a private event, which was most disappointing bc it was why we wanted to dine here. They then wanted to put us all the way in the back and we said we would prefer to sit up front. There was an empty dirty table available which they said would take 15 minutes to turnover! They were short staffed, even though there were 3 hostesses and one trainee completely available. It was not busy. Once seated they were out of a number of tequilas and charged $2 for a large cube of ice! Food was good enough. Brussels spouts very tasty. And then, the bill was wrong. Extra drink charges which we caught and they redid. Disappointing.

    The Rustic Root has a very “different “ menu. A wide variety of plates to share but a limited menu after that. A really cool feature of the menu is a QR code you scan , indicate your food preferences, allergies etc, and it makes suggestions for you. Our food was good, the service fine, but nothing really stood out. I would summarize our experience as a fun atmosphere with acceptable food & service.

    I used to love going here for the steak and eggs during brunch but they changed their menu and now only offer “steak tips” which don’t taste that great and are very hard to chew. I also ordered them cooked medium and they were well done. Other than that I still like Rustic Root, Servers are always really attentive. I do hope they change their menu back though.

    We went during the happy hour. The cocktails are a great deal during the happy hour - 1/2 off. The appetizers are good but somewhat tiny. I did love the crab cake and the corn bread. Very flavorful and delicious. Great servers and ambiance.

    Nice rooftop restaurant with amazing drinks and a nice selection of appetizers and main courses .The service was excellent and I would recommend dining here.

    Very noisy, couldn’t carry on a conversation. Had the bolognese dish and was barely edible. I have never had bolognese that was so spicy. I are the pasta and left all of the sauce. Very disappointing. Service was slow.
