    Refused to seat us in dining room due to dress; offered bar which had worn out booth cushions with overall ambiance feeling like a step up from Denny’s. Quite loud. Walked out. Will never return. Go to San Francisco for steak where they do not enforce draconian dress codes and have an overall ambiance of warmth and luxury.

    We went to Ruth Chris on 11/22 for my Birthday, because Friends were in town from Dallas. I had already made Reservations for 11/23 to go with my Son and fiancé, I am going again. That should tell you something, the Food was Excellent.

    This was my first visit to RC, and it was for my loved one's birthday. I will be a repeat customer for sure! Everything was perfect.

    Low quality food- four of us for celebration- steak (filets) were not tender or favorable. Spicy shrimp appetizer was the best of the over a dozen items we ordered

    For me, the food was nothing to write home about. I ordered the roast chicken breast. The chicken was tender, but the flavor was mediocre. There was a cheese sauce in the chicken breast and it was nothing special. For the high price of the food I expected everything to be superb. A couple of people in my group ordered the salmon and shrimp and they loved it. One in our party order the lamb chops, two ordered steak and they all said the food was ok. There were mixed reviews on whither we would return to this restaurant, and three out of the seven people said they would return. The service was very slow. The hor’deuvre were served promptly and they were good. The waiter served three people in our party their entrees and they were nearly through eating by the time the rest of us received our food. The same thing happened with desserts, some were served and the rest of us had to wait. The bread pudding was very good, but the waiter returned to say they only had three, two of us had to settle for the cheesecake. The cheesecake I received was a complete gooey runny failure. However, others in my party ordered the cheesecake and it was good. I’m not sure if the chef called in sick or what, but when I spend a lot of money, I expect outstanding food. The waiter was kind, but perhaps he needed help serving. I was disappointed, and I won’t return.
