   Ordered filet mignon and prime rib. Both were very over cooked. Waitress was newer which is fine; but wasn’t well trained. Wasn’t familiar with their menu. Ambiance was great! For the cost of the meal; expected more.

   Worst prime rib ever. It was as if they had never made prime rib before. We sent two orders back.

   In reading my review, please keep in mind that I live in the Wine Country in California where dinning is quite different. Also when we arrived a large party had just arrived and was quite loud, more so than usual at the place. Staff and service: They were aware of the Open Table reservation and seated us quickly. Staff was friendly, but our server was not knowledgeable about what I would consider basic questions about the menu and she had to be asked about specials. She did check and bring back answers to our questions. Problem: When dinner was served, there was confusion about which plates were medium or medium rare and the wrong degrees of preparedness were served to the wrong people. The degree of doneness was marginal with my medium rare prime rib being closer to medium than I would have preferred. In my part of the world horseradish sauce is usually served with prime rib, but I had to ask for it here, which is not a problem. Food: Food was good with good flavor on the meat. The meat was trimmed well. I did not expect gravy on my Prime Rib, but I have to say it was pretty good gravy. The Cesear Salad was quite good and the desserts were very good. Other: I mentioned in my reservation that it was my grandson's birthday and confirmed with the server that the information was received. I was not told that they do not do anything for birthdays nor was any mention made of it by the serving staff. I would have liked to know that they did not do anything because we would have brought birthday candles or something to make it special. Comment: Nice, better restaurant that could use better training for its servers.
