The Sage Room at Harvey's has been a Tahoe landmark since opening in 1947. An elegant steak house, The Sage Room is popular with locals and guests alike.

                    Tried the Sage Room for the first time since other restraints were fully booked. Safe to say I couldn’t understand why they weren’t. The food, view, staff, ambience was all perfection. 10/10 recommend!

                    Food was mediocre at best, overpriced for quality and small side portions. Service was lacking despite us being one of the only tables in the restaurant. They seemed almost irritated we were there, like they were rushing to close, even though we had a legit reservation that wasn’t even the latest available on Open Table. Drinks were good. They got our order incorrect, then double charged us for their error (correct once we pointed it out). We went for a dual birthday celebration which wasn’t even acknowledged aside from checking in with the hostess. Overall a lackluster experience and we would not return…the view of the lake is beautiful but can be seen from many other restaurants in the area.

                    Simply put. Bad food. Overpriced and underwhelming. The Tuna Tartare was actually a poke and smelled fishy. We had to send back our Caesar salad it was worse than I have had at round table’s salad bar. The oysters made us actually ill, slimy and poor quality/expired. We ordered a ribeye medium rare and it came out blue and mooing, for a 90$ steak I expected much more. Also the bacon bourbon glaze was horrendous thankfully they didn’t dress our steak with it and it came out on the side. The escargot was fine. The cocktails were meh. We decided to cut our losses and not order dessert or dessert cocktails. Our server, Jeremy was pleasant. Having to walk through the casino to get there was its own challenge and not super intuitive. Overall, we will not be returning and we have definitely wished we had considered a different restaurant for our date night in Tahoe.

                    The restaurant was nice and overlooking the mountains. It was beautiful. The service was excellent. The food was just ok. We ordered small cut Prime Rib and it was difficult to cut and chew even after they gave us different steak knives. The rest of the meal was good and edible. You know when the food is not to good when it’s left on your plate at the end of the meal.

                    The prime rib and roasted chicken were delicious and well priced. The pork belly appetizer was delicious but a very tiny portion for the price. 3 pieces of pork belly. The Caesar salad was nothing special, I would not order again. But the gnocchi Mac n cheese!?!?!!! Wow! Super delicious. Our server, Alicia, was very good and very attentive. She was very kind and checked on us frequently. No one else really stood out at all but Alicia was awesome. Overall it was a great night. $300 for two people including alcoholic drinks and a tip.
