Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.

When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

A very nice birthday dinner for a friend. Food was excellent and the service superb. The staff always honors my requests, as well. So blessed to have this our neighborhood “joint”!

We often come to Sail loft but this experience was different. Service felt very rushed and the Hawaiian steak tips meat quality was off. Will be taking a little break.

We had a wonderful New Year's Eve Dinner! The food was delicious, and I loved the French Onion soup. Our server, Jessica, was professional and efficient. We truly enjoyed our dining experience.

Last minute reservation for 4. Our server Mark was fantastic. Engaging, friendly. Short ribs and salmon salad were excellent. The one-off putting site was a small dog was sitting in a guest chair at an outside table. The dog was allowed on the table. I've never seen anything like it before. I didn't know the Sail Loft was pet friendly. Regardless, if a dog is allowed in a restaurant, the animal should be on the ground. Almost ruined a fantastic meal.

Another great dining experience! Rhonda, our server, was professional, attentive, and friendly. She filled our water glasses without being asked, a plus! We had the French onion soup, fish and chips, and baked cod with vegetables. Everything was served hot, cooked to perfection, and flavorful. We split the carrot cake for dessert, one of the best we’ve had! The restaurant was busy but we never felt rushed! The ambiance is light and airy….a relaxing atmosphere. Great staff, from servers to management! Always made to feel welcomed!
