Way back in 1975, the Sail Loft lit the fire for Steve Silverstein, who went on to open nearly 40 restaurants. Located in the quintessential seaside village of Padanaram, it was the neighborhood place where you could get a good (strong) drink, chef prepared comfort food and relax in a convivial atmosphere with familiar faces. The Sail Loft was everyone’s favorite place; it was a hangout where some came for food and others for drink.

When the Sail Loft became available in 2021, Steve jumped on the opportunity to take the wheel. Steve and his wife Judy transformed the Sail Loft into an elevated neighborhood restaurant with a distinct updated boatyard feel. The spot is nautical with a chef-driven yet approachable menu, a deep selection of spirts and an intriguing wine list. As with all of Silverstein’s places, while the food, drink and design are always top-notch, it is the warm hospitality that keeps ‘em coming back.

                                                          Everything was on par and what you’d expect with a visit to the Sail Loft with the exception of the service. We were disappointed with our servers failure to follow up on a couple of simple requests. She never even came over after our plates were served and asked if everything was ok or or if we needed anything else. This not the norm at the Sail Loft or any of the other Servedwell Hospitality Group locations. They are called Servedwell for a reason and the service has always been stellar and we will certainly be back. The bar is always set high at any of their establishments which made this particularly disappointing.

                                                          I had a wonderful evening with excellent service and delicious food! For my appetizer, I enjoyed the mushroom ravioli paired with a side of perfectly toasted focaccia bread. For my entree, I chose the Salmon Burger, and both dishes were absolutely amazing! Val, my server, was incredibly attentive and helpful, making the experience even better.

                                                          First time dining at the Sail Loft was impressed with the atmosphere, service and food. We were warmly greeted and immediately seated at our table the server we had was awesome I don’t remember her name. We started with drinks and the shrimp Thai dish it was delicious. For entrees we had fish and chips and baked cod both dishes were delicious. We loved the decor and the atmosphere. The restaurant was recommended by my colleagues so we were eager to visit. We have dined at a few of the restaurants in this restaurant group the Sail Loft is definitely on our list to revisit in the future. This restaurant is in a great location. We will definitely recommend this restaurant to all our friends and family.
