A locally owned scratch kitchen and bar specializing in wild and sustainable seafood, sushi, steaks, hand crafted cocktails along with an extensive wine list, Salt at Geist prides itself on creating unique dining experiences. The restaurant has quickly become a hot spot for casual after work cocktails, late night cocktails on the patio, social plate sharing, business dinners, special occasions, private dining and rehearsal dinners.

My husband found a staple in his salad! They emended up paying for his meal but not the salad! We had to remind them to take it off! Food ultimately was tasty but leary of the staple issue. Service was fantastic too!

Our server, Paige, was attentive and friendly. The menu exceeded expectations: snapper daily special, sushi rolls and Banana’s Foster bread pudding. The space was clean and modern without being sterile. Will return soon!

We had an anniversary dinner and the staff were extremely exceptional! They took great care of us. Cannot say enough about the service and ambiance. Overall the food was very good. Understandably Salt is a place to go for the best seafood in the Indianapolis area! The only glitch was on the “turf” side of the menu. I had the Ribeye steak and it unfortunately was a pretty bad. It was cooked just as I had ordered. However the quality of the cut was awful. Please take a closer look at the quality of meat. Salt is too good of a restaurant to be serving choice not prime cuts of meat.

Love salt and we go often. Very busy night, which makes the place more fun. Service was really slow this time, our server was covering several tables on the other side of the bar and was hard for her to make her way clear to the other side for us. Still had a great time and will be back.
