We are excited to bring our dream to a reality along with friends and family. We plan to share our love and knowledge of an industry that we are so passionate about and proud to be a part of in our hometown of New Brunswick. Here at Salt, we are creating a modern oyster bar with a hip vibe serving up a large variety of fresh local oysters, as well as oysters from around the US. We will offer a seafood inspired seasonal menu both in our casual bar and our elegant dining room. We will also offer many innovative dishes including a variety of local meats along with plenty of vegetarian options. We aim to create an inviting atmosphere for everyone with our warm décor and friendly staff. Our full bar will feature a variety of signature cocktails and revolving creative small plates. Chef Chris’ passion for food promises consistent exceptional quality and to awaken the palate with bold, fresh flavors in every bite!

A great experience on Christmas Eve. All the meals were great but the Key West grouper was particularly outstanding.

The food and service were excellent. My only disappointment was that they tried to give us a table downstairs, when I reserved the main dining room. We ended up at a table with our back to the front aisle-heavy traffic area. I made this reservation on 11/16/24, so there was no excuse for this inconvenience. Because the overall dining experience was so good, I will definitely be back !

Very nice higher end place that does not disappoint! Great food and drinks coupled with wonderful atmosphere especially at Christmas time. Will be back

I was welcomed warmly and professionally by Javier. The beverages and meal were prepared to my liking; however our waiter was absent from us for long periods of time. More than 2X we asked the server to find our waiter. When he appeared, he was professional and responded well but we should not have to "require" his attention. ALSO, please educate the servers so that they DO NOT clear plates while guests are eating--still. I hadn't finished my cappucino and the waiter reached over, grabbed the cup and was removing it when I said: "No!" I'm still drinking my coffee (he had not noticed).

The service and food was top notch. They provided my favorite table in the back overlooking main dining room. Thank you SSOB staff! We enjoyed 18 mixed oysters and the lobster Cobb salad for appetizers. My entree was a double order of the grilled prawn ( head on) appetizer with white beans and kale, so delicious. Others at my table had seafood specials which were wonderful, as well. The entire wait staff, bussers etc, were excellent. Dirty dishes were removed in a timely manner, table top cleaned between courses, water glasses replenished frequently. From start to finish it was a great dining experience.
