We are excited to bring our dream to a reality along with friends and family. We plan to share our love and knowledge of an industry that we are so passionate about and proud to be a part of in our hometown of New Brunswick. Here at Salt, we are creating a modern oyster bar with a hip vibe serving up a large variety of fresh local oysters, as well as oysters from around the US. We will offer a seafood inspired seasonal menu both in our casual bar and our elegant dining room. We will also offer many innovative dishes including a variety of local meats along with plenty of vegetarian options. We aim to create an inviting atmosphere for everyone with our warm décor and friendly staff. Our full bar will feature a variety of signature cocktails and revolving creative small plates. Chef Chris’ passion for food promises consistent exceptional quality and to awaken the palate with bold, fresh flavors in every bite!

Everything was delicious! Our waiter Trevor was wonderful and on point with recommendations. Tried the shipwreck drink and it was spicy in a really good way. One of our favorite places! Can't wait to go back.

Been multiple times. Always really good. Chilled seafood is incredibly fresh. Great stuff. Server was awesome, very friendly.

The food was great however the drinks were awful. Despite me returning the drink twice that I was given it still was horrible when it came back. No matter which drink I chose, it was still awful.

I'm new to Jersey and was researching the best restaurants. After much narrowing down, I'm thrilled I landed on Salt. Food- fresh, delicious, light, mouth-watering, perfectly cooked. Drinks- nice strength, tasted great, one big ice cube that didn't melt to water down the drink. Presentation- 10 out of 10. Service- 10 out of 10. They catered to every need. I dined in the cove, and the ambiance was EVERYTHING. This restaurant is worth every penny for true fine dining.

Oysters were DELICIOUS!!!! Everyone enjoyed their food . I always get the lobster Cobb salad . I can't seem to move past it, I love it that much. They have a smoky mezcal drink called, "Final Thoughts " ... Not sure about the name .. but the drink was wonderful !! The service was off though .. not their norm, but it was pretty bad . Didn't feel the "love" . Felt ignored actually . But I will return , it is a great resturant over all .

Salt is always a delightful experience! The service is impeccable, the food delicious and the ambience perfect for any occasion. Alone or with friends it is my go to restaurant for fine or casual dining. I feel welcome, satisfied and at home!

Came here for a celebratory dinner with my spouse. We shared Clams Casino as an appetizer, and he had sea bass as an entree while I had the grouper. He enjoyed Birdsmouth lager, and I had a cocktail and glass of wine, then we each had dessert (peanut butter brownie and salted chocolate chip cookie). I also had an after dinner drink--the Jolly Roger. Everything was top-notch--the service was efficient but not rushed, the food was hot and delicious, our table was comfortable and we could converse easily but still felt the happy vibe of other diners around us, and the surroundings were elegant. Price point was high-end but not unreasonable--entrees $40-45, drinks around $14 each, extras $10-15 each. Parking was convenient at the Church Street garage across the street (though not included). Would absolutely come here again for a special occasion.
