Salt Yard is an award-winning charcuterie bar and restaurant serving modern tapas inspired by the flavours and produce of Spain and Italy.

The tapas are complemented by charcuterie and cheese boards and we have a wide selection of excellent wines and sherries. Flexibility is key to Salt Yard. Customers can enjoy a full spread of tapas: or come in simply for a glass of red wine and a plate of cheese, a coffee and a delicious pudding, or even just a perfect martini and a handful of Marcona almonds.

Located in central London – a two minute walk from Goodge St tube station and a five minute walk from Oxford Circus – we are perfectly placed for a business lunch, a pre-theatre meal or a night out with friends.

This Valentine's week, experience a taste of the Mediterranean at Salt Yard with our Valentine's Head Chef's tasting menu, inspired by the flavours of Spain and Italy. This year, not only do you get a taste of the Southern European lifestyle, but you also have a chance to live the life yourself. Every table that prebooks the Valentine's Head Chef's tasting menu from 10th-16th February will be entered into a draw to win a romantic trip for two to Logrono, the historic capital of La Rioja, Spain. Indulge in dishes such as Chargrilled Cuttlefish, Gambas Pil Pil , Pan fried Duck, Poached Chorizo, Truffle Arancino, Basque Cheesecake. Head's chef tasting menu is subject to seasonal changes.

I don’t want to be too harsh because the manager dealt with things very professionally but the food was dreadful I m sorry to say. Arancini was sent back because it was cold in the middle and never returned. The cuttlefish was rubbery and tasteless and the duck was cold and flacid. Very disappointing because we had heard good things about the Salt Yard so perhaps this was an off night. Don’t think we will go back to check however. Sorry!

My first tine. Food is delicious, size of plates are far bigger than other Spanish restaurants and service is very quick. This place will be on my regular visit list forever. Loved it. Arancini is amazing.

Fabulous for cosy lunch, lovely atmosphere and beautifully private/quiet. The team are warm, friendly and very helpful with recommendations on the food and wine menus.

Even though the upstairs was empty, we were seated downstairs on the lower level. This was also not full but the table we were offered was right in front of the kitchen and also the toilets. I asked if it was possible to sit not right in front of the kitchen but we were told that was the only table available. We were a group of three. Service was prompt bringing water, and taking drinks and food orders. And then the speed dining began. The wine was brought and where normally one person would taste it, it was opened and served into all the glasses immediately. The food came out so quickly it was shocking. We ordered 7 sharing plates and two bar snacks and everything was on the table within 10-15 minutes. And that was it basically for service for the rest of the evening. The food was good. Not exceptional, but not bad. Some plates were removed but we were never asked again if we wanted or needed anything. We had to ask for more water. We were never offered more wine or drinks or even dessert or coffee. It was very odd. We weren't rushed out to finish and leave, but it felt a bit like we had been forgotten. So, it wasn't bad, but it doesn't stand out.

Food was lovely but table was in front of the kitchen from a restaurant that was not full it was a bit disappointing.
