Made a reservation on Open Table, which didn't offer an option for outdoor or indoor seating. Arrived a few minutes late (the entrance is not intuitive if you haven't been there before), and was told we are seated on the outdoor patio far corner. Today the winds were high so eating there was untenable, and a request to lower the shade to block the sun was disregarded by the person who seated us. We chose to relocated ourselves to the bar seating. Artichoke appetizer was not good. Oysters, bread, and entrees were very good. We will likely return despite the initial impression.

first timers after being told how good it was. was kind of disappointed. staff seemed out of sorts had servers bringing stuff to our table 2 times that we did not order. received 2 old fashioned drinks that had an orange slice and cherries but the one i ordered does not have those ingredients was told they both come that way. however the ones i think i was getting are less priced but charged for the higher priced ones. wedge salad was very good. my wife ordered steak frittes and i ordered the bison steak and lobster combo. both arrived barely with any warmth to them. i think they sat for awhile before they were served.. was not happy but did not want to say anything. if we go back we will probably try something lesser priced.

Nice restaurant…good food and service. $69 for a 16oz ribeye, and no sides is pretty steep. It was a good steak, but not that good to justify the price. The staff was very friendly.

Went to salted Edge for my birthday. We sat at the Chef's table which was really cool to watch the preparation/presentation of the food. Across the board the food was really good but I did feel my sirloin strip had a lot more fat than usual through it. Not as good as I have had at other steak houses. Also, we were supposed to have two drinks that were a special "Omaha food lovers", however they were out of one of the ingredients. We were never told this by waitress until we asked about the drinks like 30 minutes after ordering. The birthday card and dessert were a very nice touch. Overall, a very good dinner.

We’ve been to Salted Edge a handful of times so I feel like I can base my expectations on multiple trips. The first few times (shortly after they opened) it was wonderful. Food, service, ambiance, everything was great. A little pricey but when the quality is high I can understand. The last few times it has not had that same level of excellence. The food is still very good. However the service has been lacking and the cost has only gotten higher. There also just has not been that same welcoming ambiance from the staff as a whole as the first few times. Out of our interactions with our server today many of them started with I’m sorry, or I apologize for the delay, etc. not a very good look when prices are high and the restaurant isn’t that busy. I can deal with it once. But we are an easy table. We were a table of 4 (2 of our party being children). This morning we were seated for 15 minutes before our server came over. Then we waited 8 minutes from when 2 entrees were brought out to when the other two followed. The first was one child and one adult plate, the second was one child and the other adult plate. It was my wife’s birthday (which was noted on our reservation) so I was going to wait to start my meal until she got her food also. By this point, mine was cold. I didn’t say anything as then by the time mine came back I’m sure hers would have been cold. We have been to SE on birthdays before and many of the times have gotten a small birthday treat/dessert as a part of the experience. Our last two times, this has not happened - which has confused me as I heard other table’s servers both times state that a small dessert is given for birthdays. I thought the last time was maybe just a one-off, but this is now twice in a row. So maybe it’s no longer a thing, or maybe it just depends on your server - ymmv. The food continues to be quite good, but the service level and cost will make me really think about whether or not to go again.
