   Several of the dishes had little flavor, including the crabmeat bruschetta and tuna carpaccio. The chicken Milanese was a nice portion and texture but again needed seasoning. I had to ask for salt and Parmesan. On a busy Friday night, this meant long periods waiting for a server to appear. My companion’s lobster ravioli was left half eaten. Overall, $200 for a three person dinner (we each had 3 drinks) left us wanting.

   A friend and I had lunch at Sammy's on 3/11/25. Paul, the server, was absolutely wonderful. He was friendly, engaging, courteous and attentive. Paul has been our server on previous visits and he consistently does an excellent job. My friend and I both ordered the Julia Salad with grilled chicken. It's our absolute favorite and it never disappoints in terms of portion size and flavor. The dressing is excellent. Sammy's bread is also a standout. We had one concern that affected the "value" and "overall" ratings for our experience. On our last visit just a few weeks ago, the price of the Julia Salad with chicken was $16. Sammy's has now increased the price of the Julia Salad with grilled chicken from $16 to $22. The cost of the base salad with no protein is $9 which means customers are paying an additional $13 ($9 for the base salad plus $13 for the chicken = new price of $22) for the handful of strips of grilled chicken added to the base salad. This latest price increase is in addition to at least one prior increase for this salad. That price increase really gives us pause as to whether we will be able to return again. It's way too much. The dining room is lovely and the outdoor dining option is wonderful for enjoying good weather. The bar area is also a terrific option for those who prefer the bar. We noticed some other menu items had significant price increases. Significant price increases present a huge risk for driving loyal customers like us away even though this is a wonderful restaurant.

   As always, Sammy's provided a great evening for a birthday celebration. The appetizers (crab toast, fried calamari, charcuterie board and of course the bread and dipping sauce) were outstanding! Awesome pizza. The cocktails were very well made. The server was very attentive to our group on this busy Friday evening. We always pick Sammy's for celebrations. And we love the bar area and its vibe.

   Sammys Tatoria 2 is the best Italian restaurant in the area! The atmosphere is wonderful, and the food is fantastic! All that being said, the dervice is second to none. You can’t go wrong at Sammy‘s.

   Here’s a polished version of your review while keeping your voice and experience intact: ⸻ We went to Sammy’s on Saturday night with another couple—one of our favorite spots. However, despite having a reservation, we waited about 45 minutes for a table, which was very unusual. Once seated, our drinks arrived promptly, and we started with their calamari and family-style salad. The calamari was delicious as always, but the salad felt a bit skimpy. For our entrées, my friend and I ordered the Pappardelle Alfredo with crabmeat and shrimp. Unfortunately, it was disappointing—the shrimp, crab, and even the noodles lacked flavor. My husband, on the other hand, enjoyed his veal. This was the first time we’ve been underwhelmed by Sammy’s, which was surprising given our past great experiences. Hoping it was just an off night!

   Food is terrific!! Well done!! Wonderful service and good value. We’ve been here several times and never had a bad experience. Little thing..We noticed that the water glasses are now plastic rather than glass. The restaurant is quite loud; but all in all, Sammy’s remains one of our favorite places to dine

   It was our first time to Sammy’s Trattoria. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was some of the best Italian food that I have ever had.

    We always request a high top when going. With that said - go with the thought of relaxed dining. It’s usually very busy so don’t expect 5star service . Just enjoy the food and time being out. We love Renee -she is so friendly .
