   Food was poor for the price and overall experience was appalling.. Started off being put on a table where the couple next to us felt compelled to say hello as sat down as we were sat almost on thier table and then the fun started. Considering we had booked a table and we're not a 'walk in' I have never been so rushed through a meal in a restaurant.. we were chased for orders from the second we sat down. The waitress couldn't get the cork out of our wine so just pushed it into the bottle. They started to clear the table while we were still eating and gave us 2 mins 10 seconds between courses (I timed it!). #fastfood #wontbecominghereagain

   Excellent food and amazing service. Went on a Monday evening so was a little quiet to begin with but soon filled up . Highly recommend this Restaurant

   Soon as we walked in seemed very busy and waiters seemed to rush to take an interest, food was not as expected for the price chicken was very very dry and limp; wouldn't go back

   Food was outstanding as always , but felt the whole evening was rushed because of Valentine’s Day. We sat down @ 6:30 and by 7:00 we had orders and eaten 3 courses - at one point my partners dessert plate was taken away whilst she still had a mouthful of food. Understand valentines is a busy night but shouldn’t feel like it to customers.

   Amazing food cooked to perfection. We visited third time and always had a lovely dinner.

   This was the most awful evening i have experienced all thanks to this restaurant! I had booked my table for 6:30pm on Saturday the 30th of November and the restaurant accepted and confirmed so i assumed there would be no issues. Around 6pm that evening i was ten minutes away from the restaurant with my partner when i received a phone call from san carlo trying to tell me they was too busy and that i would not be allowed my table! I told the lady on the phone that this was not good enough and was extremely poor customer service after a conversation the lady finally told me that it was fine to come at 6:30 they would fit us in. When we arrived the restaurant was virtually empty so i was baffled as to why they tried to cancel our appointment after stating they were too busy? I later realised it is because they wanted more money so was trying to get the bigger parties in! The service was atrocious and we was in there no longer then 30 minutes due to being rushed to order and the portion size of the food was ridiculous for such an expensive restaurant i felt like a child. As soon as we sat down the waitress was at our table asking if we were ready to order i calmly stated that we would need a little longer as we had only just arrived she then waited close to our table making us feel uncomfortable and extremely rushed. Me and my partner do not often get to go out for meals and i booked this as a special treat for us if i had known we would be treated so poorly i would not have bothered or wasted so much money.

   We used to come here when we were at uni 20 years ago and thought we would give it a try again :-) so glad we did!! Food was delicious, such a lovely well decorated restaurant! Staff were all fabulous... we had a great time....
