Saperavi, is the first Georgian restaurant in the Canadian Prairies. We offer a wide variety of authentic dishes inspired by our very experienced chef. The cuisine is based on the culinary traditions of Georgia, developed through the centuries. We appreciate that only a relatively small number of Canadians have traveled to the country Georgia so we have brought a part of Georgia to Winnipeg. Whereas the cuisine is specific to the country, it has had some influences from Middle Eastern, Western Asian and European traditions. We have created a unique and personal dining experience, on Corydon Avenue, for our patrons.

Lovely, and authentic dishes. We had a warm and attentive waitress, and the head chef came to our table to introduce herself and enquire on our experience. We will be back!

New experience for our party of six, except me. Food was surprisingly good and service was impeccable. I had eaten Georgian while living in nearby Sochi and knew how good and unique it could be. All my group would like to return. Everything was outstanding, but pick your spots on internet in advance. Our waitress was outstanding, but was serving an entire room by herself. Shashlik was very good, as was everything else. Don’t bother with Caucasus wines; too sweet. Beer served was magnificent; Belgians can’t be beat. On the whole, I would love to eat there again, but live 1,600 miles away. Next time I’m in the frigid north, you can bet that I will be there with compadres.

We ordered dinner for 4. There was a very generous supply of very good food, efficiently served and reasonably priced. A good experience.

Innovative and tasty food served by a pleasant staff. Nice low key atmosphere with good decor. We will return. The spices were a little mild for my taste but the dishes were good and nicely presented.

Wonderful food with professional preparation and homemade goodness. Our group of four enjoy the Georgian dinner - each dish was unique and flavourful. We will definitely return with friends and family to try other items and repeat our favourites.
