Scala Osteria offers traditional Southern Italian, seafood-centered recipes meant to be shared with family and friends in our warm and vibrant dining room. Our menu is influenced by the traditional Italian osteria where creating simple yet delicious food is paramount, and our atmosphere is always inviting and full of life. From our beautiful oyster bar to our house-made pastas and Neapolitan style pizzas, we have something for everyone. We offer varying experiences, from folks grabbing a quick bite on their lunch hour, to couples stopping in to delight in our Oyster Bar, to parties spending hours enjoying delicious Southern Italian fare with perfectly paired wines. Sister restaurant to valley favorite, Bistro Don Giovanni, Scala Osteria is located on vibrant First Street in the heart of Downtown Napa. We are open daily for lunch, dinner from 11:30am to 10pm and late night service from 10-11pm.

Their mothership restaurant, Don Giovani has been one of my favorites for years. Truly enjoyed this new place. Felt like I was walking into a New York restaurant. I knew the space previously and they did an outstanding job of reinventing it. The food was really fantastic...we went for meat instead of pasta and I have never been served a pork chop like the way they prepare it. Heads up, the portions are generous, and you might want to consider sharing salads (for sure) as well as mains. Only off comments...a glass of Schramsberg very high priced for what it is...and we had to wait for our table , but the place was packed for a Wednesday night...and can easily understand why one would want to linger at their table. Great staff, attentive, professional , and great moods. Will definitely return, great for a celebration.

Amazing food especially the tiramisu. Place was a bit loud and the tables are really close together, ok for lunch setting but for dinner maybe not. Services was great and on point.

Excellent food, excellent atmosphere, will definitely come back. Service was good but more checkin and follow up needed. Overall, very positive experience!

Excellent food, service, ambience. Loved it all. Only downfall, there is a cigar bar next door, could smell smoke throughout meal.

This is a great bistro style restaurant. Thoughtful wine list, interesting menu selections and excellent preparations of the dishes. The Genovese pesto pasta is as good as any that I have had in Liguria.

I have been here for lunch quite a few times and this was the first time we had reservations for dinner. The food was awesome as usual. My only issue, it was cold inside and loud. Otherwise, we’ll definitely be going back

Our experience at Scala was, as always, great. The waitstaff was outstanding and the food was excellent. The noise level was better upstairs, as downstairs can be deafening. We will be back!
