Scala Osteria offers traditional Southern Italian, seafood-centered recipes meant to be shared with family and friends in our warm and vibrant dining room. Our menu is influenced by the traditional Italian osteria where creating simple yet delicious food is paramount, and our atmosphere is always inviting and full of life. From our beautiful oyster bar to our house-made pastas and Neapolitan style pizzas, we have something for everyone. We offer varying experiences, from folks grabbing a quick bite on their lunch hour, to couples stopping in to delight in our Oyster Bar, to parties spending hours enjoying delicious Southern Italian fare with perfectly paired wines. Sister restaurant to valley favorite, Bistro Don Giovanni, Scala Osteria is located on vibrant First Street in the heart of Downtown Napa. We are open daily for lunch, dinner from 11:30am to 10pm and late night service from 10-11pm.

As a Napa native and someone who also works in the industry, this place is one of my favorite go-to spots whenever I get off early enough from work. This place is owned by bistro don Giovanni so it’s no surprise that this location is just as good if not better since it’s in a more convenient spot. I’ve never had a bad dining experience here wether it’s dining at an actual table or sitting at the bar, mind you this place in the heart of downtown so it can be fairly busy so sometimes the service is just a tad bit slower than other nights but that’s just the name of the game which I don’t mind. The food is amazing especially the pizzas and tiramisu which I’m addicted to especially when paired up with a carajillo which is one of the best drinks they make. Ther service is always on point, friendly knowledgeable and attentive but yet not overbearing.

Always a great experience enjoying Italian cuisine in Napa. This is the third time I have been here and it certainly doesn’t disappoint.

We very much enjoyed our dinner at Scala. First, the restaurant is absolutely gorgeous and so inviting. We had one of the best orders of calamari that I have ever tasted. Then the most perfect bread with anchovy butter, and then a scrumptious serving of lasagna. Everything was truly memorable, including the service. Do not skip the tiramisu at dessert time. Loved it all!!

Upstairs is not a great experience. Don’t feel at all a part of restaurant. Very poor ambiance. Will know better next time and will request not to sat upstairs

We had reservations for party of three and waited 14 minutes to be seated. The room feels extremely tight with seating and the bar. Ordered Caesar salad - nothing to write home, very generic. Ordered - meatballs it was ok with a bit more cheese in the mix that I like and the polenta not enough flavor. The best was the pork chop it was moist flavorful and cooked to perfection. We also had the pasta pomodoro and it was perfect. We will visit again soon, Thank you
