Scala Osteria offers traditional Southern Italian, seafood-centered recipes meant to be shared with family and friends in our warm and vibrant dining room. Our menu is influenced by the traditional Italian osteria where creating simple yet delicious food is paramount, and our atmosphere is always inviting and full of life. From our beautiful oyster bar to our house-made pastas and Neapolitan style pizzas, we have something for everyone. We offer varying experiences, from folks grabbing a quick bite on their lunch hour, to couples stopping in to delight in our Oyster Bar, to parties spending hours enjoying delicious Southern Italian fare with perfectly paired wines. Sister restaurant to valley favorite, Bistro Don Giovanni, Scala Osteria is located on vibrant First Street in the heart of Downtown Napa. We are open daily for lunch, dinner from 11:30am to 10pm and late night service from 10-11pm.

Food was excellent. Fabulous service. Prices were very reasonable, especially for Napa. Extensive and well varied wine list. Only disappointment was that the server was unable to make a suggestion that wasn't in the by the glass list. Reading a computer list vs the opportunity to be guided to something interesting is much less fun. We did get an excellent unusual bottle at a great price, we just had to work for it.. worth the trip.

My husband and I went to Scala to enjoy our 7 year anniversary and they really went above and beyond to make it special. Greeted with champagne and a card. The cocktails were great, the food was delicious and came out ripping hot. And they treated us to a vanilla gelato for our anniversary.

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Napa and one of our favorite restaurants anywhere. Everything here is awesome.

I loved everything about the place except for one disappointing detail. Despite mentioning it was my husband’s birthday ahead, we were not offered a nice table to mark the occasion. To make matters worse, as we were joyfully chatting over dinner, we were told we would need to vacate the table by a certain time. From such an upscale establishment, I expected much better attention to detail and hospitality.

Always amazing food. Never disappoints. The pesto pasta is always a favorite but the best is the octopus salad.

Beautiful restaurant with a reasonable price, considering the ambiance. The food itself isn’t bad, but nothing really stands out. It’s the kind of place you try once but wouldn’t return for the food alone.
