In Italian, the word, Secondo means “the second part of a duet.” When we opened Panico’s Bistro, we knew we wanted to eventually add some harmony to our original melody and so, Secondo is the continuation of our long-standing tradition to serve classic Italian cuisine in concert with Mediterranean influences right here in Cape May County. Nested beautifully on the bay, enjoy dinner and hand-handcrafted cocktails; inside in our sophisticated dining room or outside on our covered patio next to the harbor and water.

Reservations recommended. Walk-ins are accepted based on availability. We will do our best to accommodate requests for seating preferences and/or outside dining, but they cannot be guaranteed based on limited outdoor seating. Outdoor dining may have additional wait times. Two bars (seasonal) are available to enjoy cocktails and wine should you arrive early for your reservation.

                                                                                                                Food, ambience, and service were top notch. Pricing, in my opinion, was pretty high. Portion sizes were great and food was amazing. Restaurant is trying to be an upscale Italian restaurant you would find in the city, but more expensive. Lacks the prestige and aura necessary for the prices used. The ambience was good, but did not reach top level pricing as demanded. Would rather spend the same amount of money at an established fine dining experience. Don’t regret eating here - just wish price was more appropriate.

                                                                                                                Ordered meatballs and mussels and clams fra diavolo for appetizers. For entrees…my daughter had plain raviolis and my friend and I shared the “taste it” that included raviolis, chicken parmigiana and lasagna. All in all…everything in a word….BLAND. First night in Cape May 4/10. Disappointed.

                                                                                                                All 3 fish items were overcooked and dry, 2 Mahi Mahi and Snapper. We were seated promptly for 5 PM reservation in a basically empty restaurant though were seated next to kitchen entrance, in direct line to front door with episodic gusts of cold air. Music is too loud which may have been tolerable if the music selections weren’t so bad. 7 people aged 20s - 60s agreed weird music in an effort to create ambiance. Something has changed since prior visits, and not for the better, especially for off season in November.

                                                                                                                So beautifully decorated for the holidays. The fireplace outside gives off such ambience. Food is delicious and cocktails are fun.

                                                                                                                service (Molly) was excellent. our entrees were delicious. Fried zucchini appetizer was very good but felt the portion was small for the price. The fried calamari was not good at all.

                                                                                                                The food was excellent and the waiter did an amazing job! Prices were pretty much as expected for the style of the restaurant. However, had a 7:30 reservation and we did not get sat until close to 8:15 which seems a little absurd. A lot of other people had similar issues. I understand being busy and understand that tables may sit longer than expected, but, that means you need to lessen the amount of allowed reservations at a time so you are able to actually accommodate your reservation times.
