    The safron rice dish with scallops and prawns was delicious as was the burrata salad and the berry dessert. Our waiter was freindly and helpful. His menu suggestions were great!

    We were excited to try Sempre Uno after walking by several times on the way to Lonsdale Quay....but frankly we left unimpressed. Despite being only one of three tables ( a total of 7 people)before 6pm they somehow were down to their last plate of one of the specials. Odd. A taster of one of their wines by the glass was near vinegar (glad i checked first) and the menu price turned out to be wrong. I ordered a Strozzapreti with italian sausage which was excellent. My partner who came specifically to try the Branzino was greatly disappointed. It was very overcooked (almost like leather) instead of being soft and delicious with full flavouring. What a shame for what should have been a star dish for the restaurant. And when mentioned to the server, the response was underwhelming and with no followup by a manager or the chef to see what they could do to improve our experience (as any good restaurant should). Lastly i should mention the acoustics, which due to the cement floor and low hard ceiling bounced sound around, particularly when a table was seated behind us. It was unbearable. In the end, what should have been a slow romantic dinner by the waterfront turned into a "lets get out of here" experience. Hope you can do better!

    After dining on six occasions, my last visit did not come close to the high standard of Sempre Uno. My main course Veal with wild Mushrooms (!!) was so tough,that I could not cut it with a steak knife , stringy sinew and the silver skin on the so called veal. Not acceptable. Send it back, was asked if I want something else. By that time I lost my appetite. Our server was Abel very forthcoming, true server from the old school. But no excuse or apologies from Management or the kitchen. This should have never left the kitchen. Quality control ??? I have been in the hotel and restaurant business for 45 years, so I know bad and good food. This one was bad. Werner Schlick 604-929-4150

    Unfortunately, our experience at this restaurant was quite underwhelming. The service was extremely slow, and we even had to pour our own wine. The appetizer was a complete disaster—bland, poor-quality lettuce, and overall very disappointing. While the main pasta dishes were okay, my lobster pasta lacked flavor and was not enjoyable. We decided to skip dessert to avoid further disappointment. Overall, not worth the visit, and we won’t be returning.

    Amazing flavors of dood, wonderful service, great tables and chairs and not crowded like most smaller venues these days. Highly recommend

    Great service - loved our server, attentive and discreet. Loved the fact that they gave us a birthday dessert on the house. Food was excellent
