Shadowbrook Winery has become the East Bay’s most decorated winery with over 75 medals. Shadowbrook is a small production family-owned winery located in the foothills of Mt. Diablo. We offer a diverse selection of exceptional red wines, along with some fantastic white wine options. Whether you're looking for a wine tasting experience, a glass or bottle to enjoy, or even a variety of local beers on draft, we’ve got something for everyone. Pair it all with our excellent food menu for the perfect experience.
We offer various seating options all with beautiful views of Mt. Diablo and our vineyards. There truly isn't a bad seat in the house! Most seating is outdoors to enjoy the scenery, with covered patios, shade, and umbrellas for warm days, plus heaters, a fireplace, and fire pits for cooler weather. We also offer indoor seating, though it does not have the same views. All seating is first-come, first-served. Please note we are reservation-only, so plan ahead!

Great place for a glass of wine! Wish they served coffee too and more chocolate dessert options. Both work well with wine tasting!!

Wines are on the high end price wise but quite good. All the food we had was quite good but charcuterie board would have been enough. Service was attentive, informative and cheerful. We went on a Friday night and guitar player was excellent adding quiet soothing music to a very relaxing setting. A real respite from the hustle and bustle of the work week.

Our visit was very pleasant, we had a bottle of wine and 2 appetizers. Everything was great, service was excellent & we completely enjoyed our visit.

We made reservation for 4. we were put out at a 8top in the middle of the patio. our server could have been new.. he brought our wine and said he would be back to explain the wine. he never came back to talk about the wine at all. the guys got a growler of beer. one glass was cracked. we asked for a new glass. He never came back. So another nice gentlemen came by to check on us. So we asked him for a new glass.. He was very accommodating. He talked to us. we ordered food all was fabulous. I ordered one glass of wine later and never got it. When I did see the waiter and asked he had forgotten. Also not sure if this is a thing but for four people they automatically added a 20% service charge. Crazy. Our first experience their was great. this one not so much..

Everyone is so kind and communicative. The scenery is quite beautiful. The owner shows up and talks to us as well.

Enjoyed an outstanding experience at Shadowbrook sipping some great wine and enjoying the million dollar views of Mt Diablo. We feasted on a great burger and brussel sprouts which were some of the best I have ever had. Our server Jeff was attentive and knowledgeable. Wonderful experience.

Really enjoyed this delicious prix fixe dinner. Suggested wines paired well and service was excellent! Hope they continue to offer these as chef is doing a great job.

Shadowbrook is a hidden gem in Walnut Creek! It’s so close to where we life, yet it feels far away. The views are gorgeous and the atmosphere is serene. The wine and food are always excellent! Love it!

Not a traditional wine tasting. Wine comes out with paper placemats that describe the wine. The food was good, but for the price the charcuterie board was a little skimpy. I do a lot of wine tasting and this seemed pricy and the wine was only alright.
