My friend and I dined here for dinner and drinks. The view was incredible and the food was mouth watering and full of flavor. As the night progressed, the music became very loud to the point where we could not hear each other. They were not able to turn it down, but I was still very pleased with my experience at Shelbys.

Great venue for an upscale experience. The service was not great, had to wave down our server multiple times. The place gets busy despite the high price tag. Would go again but will be cautious if you're expecting high attentive service.

Food was very good. Had the cauliflower tapas plate and the flatbread. Both were amazing. Sharing those two between my wife and myself we barely had room for desert. The chocolate dessert was very rich and not too sweet, though the lemon in the cream was a little odd paired with the chocolate. The service was mid. Our server was abrupt, did not share any thoughts on the menu items, lacked courtesy, and seemed not all that interested. We shared with the front desk and on the Open Table app that it was our 30th anniversary, but our server did not mention it at all. Value not dissimilar to other restaurants in SF in terms of price for quality of food.

Met up with some friends, it was our first time here and what an amazing view. The vibe was great, food was amazing! We were given the option to sit inside or outside. We chose to sit outside, even though it was cold the outdoor heaters made it comfortable. Overall great atmosphere, will definitely come back with more friends!

Went here Friday night, had a reservation for 8:30 but didn’t account for SF downtown traffic so we were 15 minutes late, nevertheless they were very kind to accommodate us and seated us promptly. Servers were friendly and very attentive. Place was a bit loud, we just had to lean in a lot to hear each other, but the vibe was pretty cool. Place was nice, with a pretty balcony which for sure would be a nice area if the weather is good. The only thing I would say is that although the was an ok size for two with comfy chairs, tables were a bit too close to each other. There was a couple next to us who were acting crass and we just tried our best to ignore them. Drinks were hit and miss. I did enjoy the Mezcal, husband said the Punch at first was watery but his second order of the same drink was better. We just had apps. I enjoyed the oysters very much, the bluefin tuna tartare was delicious for me. The trout Pate was nothing special, it was ok, but the toast pieces were a bit hard. But all in all, we enjoyed our time here, and can recommend this place for a nice date night or dinner with friends.

Really nice actually. I just went for the red cod tapa plate and a glass of white wine. It wasn't too busy since it was about 5:00 on a Friday evening. I found the ambience to be perfect, although I don't know what it is like when busier. Service was attentive and excellent. Price was what should be expected in San Francisco.

Beautiful venue and view of the city - nice and friendly staff. The cocktail was good but the food was mediocre IMO.
