First time at S&S, even though its been open for a few years. Service was outstanding, the staff really took care of us by looking out for our allergies and asking the kitchen when the more esoteric details were unknown. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was well cooked and plated attractively. Flavors were muted though and I felt the there was some "finish" missing. For example, the potato appetizer we ordered as a split slide, needed both the sauce since the roasting dried out the veg and needed some salt sprinkled on top to add pop. As with everything in 2025, costs are up.. and value decreasing with the rising prices. Decent value for the times. One app + One entree = $65. We'll visit again when we are looking for something a short drive away with a cocktail and wine selection.

Best meal I’ve had there (scallops risotto), good service, good ambience but, yes, got noisier as it filled up.

Staff was very proactive about confirming allergies at the moment we got water, and followed through by confirming specific dish modifications several times before we could even ask. The food was incredible, not just in terms of the flavors but also the quality of the ingredients. It was wonderful all around.

We love this wonderful neighborhood spot. The new menu is amazing and the food even better. Along with the exceptional service, Shepherd is our go to when we want a wonderful meal!

The space is nice and open feeling. The cocktails were great. We did not love a couple dishes and we found the menu to be extremely meat-centric. Maybe that is just the way it is there, but we fine dine regularly and always get 2 or 3 vegetarian entrees and maybe one meat one. this place had nothing vegetarian! So we think they need to work on that. We will go back maybe in 6 months and check it out again.

We've eaten here twice and both experiences were great. Our server Sergio was wonderful and Patty is the friendliest human alive, she waited on our group at the Table and I was pleasantly surprised to also see her at this sister restaurant. We've tried a variety of dishes, with our dining groups - from steak to scallops to pasta to ahi tostadas. Everything has been very good, including the cocktails. When something isn't perfect, they make it right. We ordered the special Dungeness crab cake appetizer which was not exactly to our liking, and to our surprise, the server did not charge us for it. We will definitely be back again, it is becoming our go-to restaurant.

the menu has thought put into it, there's some extra then there's the safe standbys with a bit of flair. full bar creative cocktails. responsive staff. airy yet comfortable decor, good tile work. big screen for sports. prices are comparable to other restaurants and the food is goooood.
