The Stumps also own notable restaurants The Table in Willow Glen, The Vesper in Downtown Campbell, and Forthright Oyster Bar & Kitchen in West Campbell. From appetizers through dessert, everything was excellent. Creative cuisine, everything had an element of surprise to go with high quality preparation and presentation. Started with ceviche served in a large bowl to share which with blue corn tostadas. The house salad was fresh and bright with he surprise element being potato cubes. We had to ask ourselves - what are these? But in a good way. The pastas were delicious, especially the pistachio pasta, a clever twist on the classic recipe. The almond mango sponge cake for dessert was more like panna cotta than cake.

We had a fairly simple meal, Steak Frites and S & S Salad. Both were split, bringing the meal into alignment with our appetites. Our red wines, a zinfandel and a pinot noir, we both very nice and fitting for our meal. Our server, and I am sorry to have not gotten her name, was enthusiastic and helpful. My one criticism is the noise level. My companion is legally blind, and I had to read the choices to her, shouting so she could hear. I think the room has too many hard surfaces.

Great, relaxed atmosphere. The food was great, the service was excellent. The restaurant was pretty full but it wasn’t noisy at all. Just a terrific place for a nice, comfortable dinner!

We had the market fish which was Salmon, Steak & Frites, Scallops and 2 orders of Pork Chops All of the dishes were very good, the Pork Chops are exceptional. Service was very good, we were celebrating a birthday and appreciated the complimentary chocolate cake which was also very good. Only downside is the noise level, we intentionally sat away from the kitchen, but the noise level is still too high. Difficult to talk with your guests.

First time at S&S, even though its been open for a few years. Service was outstanding, the staff really took care of us by looking out for our allergies and asking the kitchen when the more esoteric details were unknown. Service was attentive but not intrusive. The food was well cooked and plated attractively. Flavors were muted though and I felt the there was some "finish" missing. For example, the potato appetizer we ordered as a split slide, needed both the sauce since the roasting dried out the veg and needed some salt sprinkled on top to add pop. As with everything in 2025, costs are up.. and value decreasing with the rising prices. Decent value for the times. One app + One entree = $65. We'll visit again when we are looking for something a short drive away with a cocktail and wine selection.

Best meal I’ve had there (scallops risotto), good service, good ambience but, yes, got noisier as it filled up.

Staff was very proactive about confirming allergies at the moment we got water, and followed through by confirming specific dish modifications several times before we could even ask. The food was incredible, not just in terms of the flavors but also the quality of the ingredients. It was wonderful all around.
