Shy Bird is an all day rotisserie, bar, cafe & takeaway. We strive to be affordable, approachable and accessible while offering crave-able food, warmth, and hospitality. We offer a serious beverage program that doesn’t take itself too seriously. We have a Dog Friendly Outdoor Patio!

    The food was delicious! The drinks were made perfectly. Service was exceptional and quick. I ordered: SB Dunks - 12 pieces w sauce flight - The honey mustard and pecorino ranch were my favorite. Brussels Sprouts & Kale Salad GF VEG dried cranberries, shaved parmesan, toasted almonds, sour apple vinaigrette Reg. Margarita Go try it out, you won’t regret it.

    They were unable to fry anything but waited to tell us until after they sat us and we ordered drinks. This means no fried chicken at a fried chicken restaurant. They also had no avocado and it was brunch.

    Our server and the whole staff were fantastic. We were a table of 12 and they were so wonderful with us! Didn’t rush us, and treated our birthday girl perfectly! It was fun and delicious

    Excellent meal. Service was great. Thank you, Jack! The host/manager was really nice too. Full bird for $28? Awesome value.

    Me and my girlfriend went here for Valentines Day, reserving was easy. There was readily accessible parking right outside, our waiter was really nice and accomodated some of the concerns we had for allergies, and the food was worth the money. We ordered the Smash burger and the Caesar salad with fried chicken, both were outstanding. Great spot and would go there again.

    Steven was exceptional for my first (and certainly not my last!) visit to Shy Bird south Boston. He helped my dear sister and I pick out everything from drinks to the chicken and sauce flight as well as a salad selection. Thank you Steven for kicking off the weekend with us.

    Had a great experience at Shy Bird Southie for my nephew’s birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was great. The burger, the Caesar salad, and the fries were all delicious. Our food arrived quickly and the dessert was also fantastic!

    Interactions with staff were all great. Good vibe (lighting, music, lively) Food quality did not match price for me.
