   I’ve been to SIFR several times and always enjoyed my experience. The one constant criticism is that the room can get loud. I rarely write comments, and I know this one is not especially positive. It is not my intent to be mean-spirited. I did not enjoy the dinner last night. If that had been my first experience at the restaurant, I might never return. The appetizers are always good. We ordered the scallops and the duck. I didn’t think the scallops were very good. The scallops that I prepare in a variety of ways are better. As for the duck, it was simply OK. I would not order either item again. I don’t think my companions enjoyed the dinner and am embarrassed that I selected our dinner venue.

   Amazing place. Love the concept. The owners have more than one concept and all of them are spot on in terms of vibes, cleanliness, food, and staff. Go try them all

   Excellent Testing Menu, Excellent Service with the Manager Italian-speaking, too. The wine list is to be improved with some good Italian wines😉. Overall, I was delighted, and I will come back.

   I really enjoyed dining at SIFR. The food was beyond delicious as were the drinks. I really enjoyed that they coursed out our order. Everything came quickly and just as expected. The vibe of the restaurant is upscale but still modern and a good vibe. We order the lamb kebab, falafel, berry pilaf, chicken shawarma hummus and pita. Everything was so so good and the next time we're in chicago we will be back!

   The food, drinks, service and atmosphere were very good. My only recommendation is to steer clear of the filet skewer - it tasted great but it was $52 for an 8oz skewer with no sides - I would not order that again.

   Sifr was a disappointment. The appetizer platter was a whopping $40 and didn’t have enough food for 4 people. We had to request extra pita bread but quickly realized the spreads were running low, anyway, so the extra pita did nothing. We ordered a branzino for $42 and it was not big enough for 4 people, especially because there were no sides that came with it. So we also ordered duck. The menu is very awkward given the expensive pricing (with little that comes with it) and the alternative price fixe option as well. But worst (beyond the bland food and pricing) was the cold weather on the 2nd floor, so much so that there were space heaters but they either weren’t working at full capacity or the draft was really bad in this retractable ceiling room so we all had to put our down coats on just to eat.
