Silver Dove Afternoon Tea is a full service tearoom in Downtown Boston specializing in English style afternoon tea service. Steps from Government Center and the Freedom Trail, an experience at Silver Dove includes a pot of tea and a curated selection of finger foods. The food is a set menu and fixed price consisting of a variety of finger sandwiches, savory canapés, cakes, scones, macarons and other pastries which rotate seasonally.

We offer 90 minute reservations for afternoon tea Wednesday through Sunday. Reservations are available up to six weeks in advance. We can accommodate parties of up to six guests on weekends, and parties of up to twelve guests Wednesday through Friday.

We serve a wide selection of teas and herbal infusions from around the world and of various styles. We also provide a selection of craft cocktails and mocktails, as well as sparkling and still wines.

Our kitchen is completely gluten free (and oat free). We are independently owned and operated.

                          Food was tasty and nicely presented, particularly the scones with clotted cream and jam, but the portions were ridiculously small in light of the price

                          This was the cutest afternoon tea !! The venue and dishes etc were adorable :)The staff was excellent- coats, food allergies etc . Would definitely recommend for gluten free ppl as well as others!! PS it was quiet cold from the door opening and closing many times but otherwise delightful experience all around !

                          Interesting combinations of food flavors. I especially enjoyed the rosemary, passionfruit and hazelnut with blood orange. Staff were very nice too, particularly as I was dining solo. A little crowded and loud.

                          This has to be one of the top places for tea in Boston. The food was amazing - especially the onion soup. It was so great to see a full house on a Wednesday afternoon!

                          Tea was great - we went for a birthday celebration and the staff was nice enough to put a candle in one of the cakes. Everyone we encountered was wonderful!

                          Absolutely loved it. Highly recommend for anyone but espically anyone that is gluten free. And they also have vegan options. Staff is also awesome. They are very accommodating and work well as a team. Its small so reserve ahead of time and can get loud because it is smaller.

                          A wonderful experience! Great tea, food and service. My small complaint is that the tables are very close to one another. Otherwise we loved it.

                          The current menu continues Silver Dove's consistent perfection with new innovative flavor combinations. Afternoon Tea at Silver Dove is delightful and joyous.

                          One of my favorite places to go. The menu rotates every season so it's always a fresh experience. The staff could not be more wonderful and definitely makes the place feel like home. Can't wait to come back!
