Sampled the tasting menu for lunch, had the pescatarian option. The Tandoori Monkfish was sublime, a close second was the scallop. All courses were delicious and can’t wait to return.

The food & service was good, but the temperature in the restaurant was very cool. We had to keep our anoraks on whilst eating our meal.

Portion size of set menu is rather small. We were given one small helping of rice and dhal for 3 People. Only after asking they gave one more! Staff courtesy and menu choices have certainly fallen over the last 6 yrs. We won’t be considering this place for a special occasion party.

This was our 4th trip to Sindhu and while the food and ambiance was great, this time was a bit of a let down. Given the overall cost of the evening I suppose our expectations were high but also our baseline was the previous 3 trips which were all excellent. On this occasion it was New Years eve but we felt we were let down in 3 areas :- Service : while the waitress was very friendly and attentive empty glasses and used crackers were not cleared in a timely way which meant we had up to 3 dirty glasses left on the table for those who had the wine flight. Wine Flight : This is not a cheap option but on previous trips an enjoyable experience because the sommelier brings the bottle to the table and explains why the wine was chosen etc. this time 3 of the party had the wine flight. This time the wine was poured at the bar and delivered with no narrative in the same way it would be if it was a glass of coke !! Table Position : The table we were at (table for 5) was positioned in the corner by the bar. However this meant that one place could not be reached by the waiting staff and meant they had to lean across the person next to them or rely on others passing things across the table. As usual the food was really nice so no complaints there but when you are spending upwards of £200/head it needs to be special and I think on this occasion it was not as good as we have seen before. Unfortunately we will be unlikely to rush back again. Nigel

Recommend tasting menu with paired wines. Both the meat and pescatarian were tasty, well cooked and well presented. The sommelier explained each wine and tasting notes. Our favourite dishes, butternut squash soup, scallops, tandoori monkfish. Strongly recommend Sidhu
