                                                                                  Misleading menu, baked potato was listed as an included side. Waiter brought mashed potatoes instead stating they did not have baked potatoes. Prime rib came with slathered in garlic butter which I did not ask for. Overall a underwhelming dinner for all of us in the group.

                                                                                  Busy place. Beautiful ambiance. Our waitress had alot of tables. At first it took a while to have her come to take our orders for beverages. Our appetizer came out at the same time as our crabs. Appetizers were good. Crabs were awful. Out of 2 dozen only 9 were ok. I will go back and try again with crabs later in the season.

                                                                                  We went for date night and we enjoyed ourselves. Our appetizers came after our entrees but everything was fresh and tasty. The star of the night was the fried green tomatoes❣️

                                                                                  Let me start by saying I love this restaurant but the last experience makes me question going back. Our server was great, I ordered the Captain's Crab Boil and was totally disappointed. For starters, I didn't receive everything that was supposed to come in the boil. It was missing the broth and potatoes, second it was extremely cold. I talked to the manager and he offered to warm it up for me? I asked to order something else from the menu. I ordered the crab cake. Once that arrived, it wasn't hot it was luke warm at best. I proceeded to eat it and midway through it was ice cold in the middle. At this point I gave up and just asked for a box and would just eat it later. I was so disappointed and didnt want to complain because this was the first Mothers day gift that my daughter had paid for by herself.

                                                                                  Unfortunately, we hit Skippers Pier on an 'off' night -- large party upstairs (no parking available even at 5 p.m.), Tuesday Crab night (we didn't come prepared to pick crabs) and no one could sit outside because of possible rain (never happened). So the dining areas were boisterous, loud. Our calamari appetizer was tough, the crab cake entree was all claw meat, fish popper basket was all the same brown fried color, and the shrimp and grits' had a wonderful sauce and large shrimp, but the grits were so hard they stayed in a big lump even when doused with the sauce. It was not a great night to be there to celebrate a 70th birthday. Overall, it seemed the kitchen was concentrating on the large event and steamed crabs and little attention was paid to our $$ entrees. The one bright spot was our waitress, she was attentive and pleasant.
