Socarrat Paella Bar - Chelsea is now accepting reservations for outdoor dining, weather permitting. In the case where we need to close due to inclement weather, we will contact you the day of your reservation.

Socarrat, the quintessence of the perfect paella and for which the restaurant is named, is the delectable, sensuous crust that forms on the bottom of the paella pan when the liquid is rendered and the rice reaches its peak of succulence. The menu, an authentic array of delicious dishes from the regions of Spain specializing in traditional tapas with an accent on paella and fideua (which substitutes fried noodles for rice) that can be characterized as a true exploration for the palette.

Socarrat Paella Bar Chelsea's ambiance denotes feelings of warmth, comfort and hospitality. A neighborhood staple with a small, intimate space comprised primarily of one large communal table with bar and smaller communal tables available.

Buona paella , buon servizio e disponibili al tavolo . Meglio fuori su strada dentro non c’era aria condizionata e tavolo vicino ai servizi , ma hanno cambiato senza problemi

Socarrat is a true gem! This cozy Spanish restaurant serves up incredibly tasty dishes with wonderful flavors. The wine list is impressive and expertly curated. But what really makes Socarrat stand out is the friendly and attentive staff. They make you feel right at home in the warm and inviting atmosphere. Highly recommended for anyone craving authentic Spanish cuisine! Will definitely be back!

Food & drinks were incredible. Waiter was lovely. Hostess (who was maybe also the owner or manager?) was very pushy and made us somewhat uncomfortable, rushing us to order and making faces when we ordered another round of drinks after dinner. Had it been busier, I think she would have kicked us out of our table. Won’t stop us from coming back because the food was so good but not what I expected from an otherwise lovely restaurant.

As per your server request to stay longer the hostess/ manager was able to manage the other reservation that was assigned to your table after yours and allowed you to stayed 5 hours to enjoy your dinner and drinks after.
