Sociale (say - "SO-SHEE-AH-LAY!") was born in the bistros of Florence and raised here in Presidio heights. Laughter and Italian music are heard floating up from the star-lit, heated patio greeting you from the discreet garden alley below. Families and friends leaving the frenetic pace of the city behind can experience a lighter and decidedly more Italian mood celebrating in our new private dining room, the traditional room or on the patio as the irresistible scents of warm pastas, herb-infused meats, and the sweet honey and nut coated sfingi with vanilla bean gelato shake permeate the surrounding space.                                                                     Server was friendly and knowledgeable. Sommelier had unassuming manner and great suggestions for Italian wine pairing. Loved the fact he was dressed like he was ready for a day at the yacht club: rolled up culottes, blazer, vans with no socks ✌🏼 we had the pork steak and linguini with lobster, mildly spicy Caesar and the burrata with snap peas. Elegantly casual birthday dining.

                                                                    Our waiter Matt was so awesome and the food was just delicious. Ate family style and got to taste so many yummy dishes. The tagliatelle bolognese is simply incredible. We also had the flourless chocolate cake with vanilla gelato. Superb!!

                                                                    Food and menu were contemporary and delicious. Servicr was excellent with regular check-ins and water refills, plates removed. Wine selection was decent and staff were helpful in selecting wines that our guests preferred. Wr had a lovely time. Parking was easy for dinner. It was a bit chilly for some in our party of 4, and the ambient lighting and wood panels created a warm cozy atmosphere but was a little too dark to see, at least where we were seated in the restaurant. Overall a wonderful experience and staff were generous in their wine samplings and recommendations. Highly recommend!

                                                                    Service was mostly non-existant. 20 minutes before even approached. Never asked if we wanted more drinks the entire dinner. Had to ask bussers to find waiter 3 times during dinner. Food was ok, but the service sort of runined the meal. It wasn't that busy either. The bussers were the only people we saw.
