visited on a friday night at 6:45pm with a reservation for 4. our party ended up only being two people, and when i mentioned this to the hostess she said it would not be a problem. as i waited for my partner to arrive, i was invited into the bar area to wait. the bar was fully seated, so i sat at one of the coffee tables just adjacent to the bar area. ambiance was classy, warm and elegant. the four-piece jazz band was providing excellent music. i was offered water while i waited, then was asked if i wanted to see the menu and order a drink. i placed my drink order, and was seated before it arrived. (it was re-routed to our table with no issues) my friend & i ordered the house rolls (a must-order!), duck confit (excellent!), the short ribs (tasty!), the side of brussels sprouts (delicious!) and the macaroni & cheese (yummy!). would absolutely recommend any of these items. our server was attentive & helpful, especially with our questions about the food. (she was also super helpful with explaining some of the dessert options; which we ultimately opted not to have.) upon receiving the check, there was an error that was immediately corrected with no issues. i would highly recommend somerville for a special night out at a black-owned restaurant in the neighborhood! it was a bit pricey, but well worth the cost!

This experience was top tier! Food, service, drinks! Literally a whole vibe! I’ve told like 3 different people about this place since visiting last night! I’m looking at the reservation now so that I can come back! Isss you did your big one✨✨❤️❤️

Food, service, and ambience fantastic. The prices are reasonable for fine dining. I will definitely be going back to try more things. If you like oysters you are in for a treat. The Denver Wagu steak was butter The fish had a beautiful crispy skin and was cooked perfectly

The ambiance and the food were good. It was the time that it took for our food to come to our table that was horrible. Our reservation was for 8:45 pm. We were told when we arrived that we had a “hefty wait”. This was strange since we had a reservation. Nevertheless, we sat down after speaking with a manager twice. By the way, the manager was very nice and accommodating. I think his name was Eric. We sat down around 9:10 pm. We ordered drinks and they came out at a decent time. We did not receive our food until 10:20 pm. Also, they ran out of many of the menu items —- French fries, rolls, fish. Eric came by to speak with us after. So if you have a lot of time, and do not mind waiting an hour after you order to eat, dine here. I will try again during the week to hope for quicker service!

I’d like to extend grace considering the restaurant is still new. The food was just ok, I ordered the salmon (which came with risotto), brussel sprouts, and lobster macaroni and cheese and all of my food was lukewarm. I’d say the highlight for my group with regard to food were the Parker House rolls. The service was slow, which I don’t necessarily mind but I would have preferred to be told that upfront. The ambience is nice, and I suspect that’s what you’re paying for not the quality of the food. I probably won’t be visiting again, but I encourage people to have their own experience.
