   It was 8 PM and there was a DJ playing. It was so loud you could not even hear the person right in front of your face. We asked them to turn the volume down, but they did not. So we left. We will not be back.

   Beautiful ambiance & great beats! It's a beautiful spot to gather with friends and have great music - kinda like a Miami restaurant vibe, except the food is ehh - average at best. You're going more for a fun night out vs. a foodie night out. Tampa needs to get lounges like this! Our server was great, but the hostess up front was rude and didn't really know what she was doing - very bad first impression, which thankfully we were to overcome. Crowd is a variety of people from younger wearing barely anything, a bit trashy to 30-40's and an older crowd dressed more classy. Will def. go back on a Saturday night for drinks with friends to catch up - make a reservation.

   Quick to get sat for our reservation. Beautifully decorated and love the vibe. Music was the perfect volume but it was loud which isn’t a problem for me! Service was quick and our waiter was very nice! but definitely the type of place where they want to turn and burn tables to get more people in. Drinks were awesome, food could’ve been better. Chicken skewers were just a piece of chicken breast on each skewer which were bland. Crispy rice and spicy tuna lacked dimension. Sushi was very mid, lobster roll (although it did say there may be shells from the lobster in it) did throw me off and the spicy tuna roll tasted like a publix sushi roll. Nothing wrong with a publix sushi roll but it was average. The best items on the menu were the Mac and cheese which was phenomenal and the burger. Definitely will go back for the vibes, drinks and those two items though!

   Sparrow is an absolutely beautiful restaurant. The cocktails were expected craft cocktails. The food menu is limited, but the most frustrating part is how loud they play the music I can’t seem to make up its mind as the whether it wants to be a nightclub or a swanky dining establishment

   Had reservations for outside seating, got there and told me there was none outside so I had to sit inside, I asked how long the wait would be and she said “I don’t know, a while.” So I sat inside where the music was on level 100 and couldn’t even hear myself over the music. There was a table outside open so I asked nicely if I could sit out there and she just huffed and asked and we finally got sat outside. Our new server was so much more nicer and welcoming. Food was okay, the appetizers were really good, but the entrees could’ve been better, very bland, not much flavor. I would come back once it’s been open a bit more.

   Where do I start? Quite a shocking and disappointing experience. We sat down and no one approached us. Waited 15 minutes. We asked the host to get our server. Server finally came, she was clearly weeded, no introduction, no name. Just took our drink order which I had to repeat a couple times because you can’t hear anything over the loud music. We finally got our drinks, no limes, which I repeated 3 times, if not more. Flagged down the host, got some limes. We were ready to order, by then we had been seated for 30 minutes. Flagged down our server, she glanced and kept walking. She finally came back, took our order. The Brussels sprouts did come out pretty fast. We ordered more drinks, probably took another 10-15 minutes. My drink came watered down from sitting but I did get limes this time. My friend never got her glass of wine. 1 sushi roll finally came out probably took 30 minutes. I sat there waiting for my friends sushi roll. And waited and waited. We asked the server if it was coming. They finally brought out the wrong sushi roll. We were tired of complaining. We asked for the check. To my surprise, and I am fully aware that I ordered top shelf tequila, but I did not expect my 2 drinks to be $69 EACH. Yes, $138 for just my 2 drinks. We asked the server to confirm the price. To which she said “I’ll get the manager” and walked away. Manager came and confirmed the prices. Said that’s what they charge at all their locations. The manager did remove the sushi rolls and wine from the bill. And did provide a discount for the overpriced tequila. ~$130 Still very disappointed. Restaurant business isn’t easy but this level of bad service and overpricing is not acceptable. Not to mention none of the food was good, the sushi rolls were room temp. Overall this is a gimmicky place trying to seem upscale but there really wasn’t anything upscale about it. No dress code, people were in flip flops and barely any clothes. Unfortunately will never go back.

   Cocktail bar with delicious plates atop the Moxy on Central with a gorgeous ambience inside and out. Vibe skirted the border of a club instead of upbeat cocktail but the table had a great time. Food was unexpectedly yummy ... Great quality sushi and the duck bao was a great surprise. Prompt, attentive service without being pushy. Definitely a place to return to for sunset to nightlife.
