Great sort of hidden gem. Nice atmosphere, great live music (not too loud) and excellent food. We only had Tapas but everyone enjoyed their meals.

Service was great, food very good, entertainment really nice. Friendly and accommodating staff. We forgot to mention an issue with some food garnishing and they offered to remake it. Amazing. Will be back, cool atmosphere!

Loved it! Corner booth, amazing soundtrack, $10 tapas before 7 pm. We chose seven tapas and it was way too much food for three. Recommend the beef, scallops, shrimp, and the mushrooms. The tacos and duck were both too greasy. Cocktails were awesome. It was a win on a Wednesday night.

I reserved a table here because of the live Jazz music. The Speakeasy overachieves my expectations. My girlfriend and I had a corner table which met the romantic quotient. The cocktails and wine are excellent, and the tapas is absolutely amazing. I can’t wait to return during Winterlude.

The server was wonderful, however it was a quiet night so couldn't rate the ambiance. We will definitely return to a night when there is live music. Cute little hidden gem in the byward market.

The food was decent and I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the service was severely lacking. Upon sitting down, we ordered a bottle of wine. After being served the wine, we waited and waited for someone to take our order. After nearly 40 minutes, I had to wave another member of staff over to find out waiter to take our food order. Through our entire meal, my companion and I were almost entirely ignored. Our server was tending bar, and seemed much more concerned with carrying on a conversation with a woman sitting at the bar, rather than tending to our table. After our meal was finished, no one came to clear our plates or ask if we needed anything else. I had to again request our server come over to take our dessert order. After dessert was finished, we waited for at least another half hour before I had to again ask the a staff member to find our waited to bring the bill. All told we were here for 2.5 hours, most of which was spent waiting for someone to acknowledge us. We were at a table in the middle of the restaurant, so we definitely weren't out of sight. For nearly $200 for two people, this is not the type of experience one would expect.

Best fish and chips in the market. It's a downstairs venue. We are lunch people, I little daylight is the only thing missing. Can't beat oysters for $1 each.

We were a party of 8 and had a secluded area where we could all chat easily….(haha Speakeasy)! The service was excellent and many fun choices of cocktails. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

This Speakeasy is a treat. Comfortable ambiance (perhaps a little darker would be nice - those pot lights can get bright), fantastic cocktails (the bartender creates his own), great food and service. The live music was solo jazz saxophone player, and he added some magic to this bar’s vibe. Will be returning!
