Established and opened in 1991 by Chef and Restaurateur Sergio Lazzinnaro out of Cosenza, Italy, Spolini's is an Italian restaurant that specializes in Southern-Italian culinary.                                                                                           The service was great and the staff was friendly. The quality of the food was not good. I ordered steak pizzaiola and they just cut up a rib eye steak and poured marinara sauce over it. That's not how steak pizzaiola is made. There were no mushrooms, peppers or the stewed hearty tomato sauce and the steak was overcooked. My son ordered penne vodka with chicken cutlet and again the sauce was not creamy like vodka sauce is supposed to be. It just looked like they added some cream to their regular marinara sauce. Very disappointing Christmas meal and not work the almost $250 we spent for 2 people. On a positive note, the watermelon basil margarita was absolutely delicious.

The service was excellent, friendly and personable, and the waiters interacted with out 2-year old granddaughter. As always, the food is first-rate and the Penne Romana is a standout. Branzino was also superb.

The food was rather bland, and I was misled about my dish, expecting red snapper in white wine sauce but receiving marinara sauce instead. To add to the frustration, our appetizers and main course arrived together due to an error, and there was no compensation offered for the inconvenience.

                                                                                          We had a wonderful meal from start to finish. We had the antipasti, shrimp francese, and chicken parmesan and the creme brulee for dessert. We also had a wonderful Montalcino wine that they recommended, and it did not disappoint. We will definitely be back.
