Service excellent avec une attention particulière sur l'expérience culinaire. La nourriture était fabuleuse, très savoureuse et généreuse. Un incontournable de la scène végane à Ottawa.

I have a serious life or death allergy and was served the product I am allergic to. It entered my body and now I could die. The severity of this mistake was communicated to the server but nothing was done. It was not taken seriously and we were handed the bill, with no apology. We were offered dessert. I am very upset and distraught, as my life was jeopardize by this establishment's unacceptable error.

Food and ambience were amazing! Enjoyed the special spinach dip, broccoli, lion’s mane and gnocchi (the “sausage” is very good). Service was kind but a bit slow. Otherwise no complaints!

Best vegan food and cocktails - good for a special occasion, or just a night out. I have tried many of the dishes on the menu, and they have all been excellent.

Thank you for a great meal! I'm not vegetarian or vegan but my guest visiting from Germany is, and if I wasn't told everything on the menu was plant based prior, i would not have even noticed that the 'sausage' in my gnocchi was vegan and not meat. Delicious! Courtney was very kind and attentive, really great experience with an out of town guest. Would certainly come back again, I need to try the risotto. :)

Recommend the smoked tofu appetiser and risotto main…..both were exceptional. Dessert was good…..more options would have been nice. Request seating at front…..better ambiance. Artwork was a little weird and did not truly complement the decor. Overall great vegan dining experience!

The whole place is great, and it was nice to have a fancy vegan dinner experience in Ottawa. As long time vegetarians and avid travellers, we always love to try such a spot in every city we visit, and St. Elsewhere was overall quite good. Menu is creative and offer a bunch of interesting choices, especially in the "small" plates section. We did share a blooming onion and it was exquisite. Onion and sauce were soooo good we'd have taken another one. We both had the bourguignon as a main ("large" plate), though, and while it was not bad at all, the seitan was a bit disappointing both in texture (too rubbery) and taste (lacked seasoning and had not absorbed the sauce). I really doubt they make their own seitan (it tasted like some bland grocery store stuff) but if they do, as someone who makes seitan at home on a regular basis, I would recommend they include blended beans (kidney beans or black turtle beans) in their liquid mix to improve texture. For the rest, cocktails were very good, and so was my dessert.

Service was friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and very tasty. Great ambiance. Great music (a tad loud) but not enough to negatively impact our evening. Will be back!
