   Sono finalmente potuto andare a pranzo, dopo due cancellazioni. Mi è piaciuta l’atmosfera, la premura e gentilezza dei camerieri. Ho preso la lingua, il fegato e bread and butter per dolce. Ho chiesto di poter tornare e provare la pie, aspetto una chiamata per sapere se è possibile. Ottima esperienza in un ristorante British top!

   We had a lovely meal with a wonderful waiter. Enjoyed every course and the experience as a whole. Highly recommend!

   Disappointing. Came with excellent recommendation from my daughter. Staff were reasonably attentive with some dry wit. Food was a let-down, especially given the price. I had smoked eel as a starter which was nice. Then the lamb main arrived drowning in gravy with really mushy courgettes. In fairness we were warned by the waiter they would be “well cooked”. An attraction of courgettes is some firmness but this was completely lost. Potatoes were excellent. Lamb was under-cooked for my taste, but probably most people would disagree. Probably won’t be coming back.

   Always eat at St. John when in London! This is a first at the new Marylebone location. The small plates is a new format, but the selections and the food equally fabulous as the other establishments!! We had the lamb tongue-divine-Venison and the chutney was to die for, Smoked Cod’s Roe and it was so smooth you needn’t hardly swallow!! The last course was a Braised Hogget-we were told a teen aged lamb!! So tender it just fell apart and the sauce was just as delicious!All that we had was over the top!! My husband is in love with the bread! Add to that a lovely Rhône wine and that is a “Happy Anniversary “!!

    I had a wonderful experience dining alone on an unplanned day off, the food was delish and the staff were so friendly. I have been to the first restaurant and I would come again!
