The restaurant was founded in 2023 by owner Stella Spanu, a Boulder local. Honoring her Italian heritage and embracing her passion for food and hospitality, Spanu’s philosophy is to have a dining experience that stimulates all senses by incorporating visual art, design, music, premier service, comfortable seating and fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. The space, an Art Deco inspiration, was conceptualized and built by architect Miguel Quismondo.

Stella's is showcasing a world-class menu, highlighting traditions from all over Italy, with house-made pastas with imported ingredients directly from Italy, and locally sourced ingredients from Colorado farms. The menu is accompanied by an extensive selection of Italian wines and specialty cocktails.

Friday and Saturday, after dinner service, the space will transform into a lounge with a dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system, while guests are encouraged to enjoy beverages, the dance floor, and a wide variety of music.

                      We were there for the Baracchi Winery tasting and wine flight dinner. It was over the top and extremely well curated.

                      The Barrachi wine pairings with Chef Simone's delicious food was wonderful. The service was excellent and the evening was relaxing and totally enjoyable. The evening was well organized and the music at the right sound level. My spouse and I could have a quiet conversation and we enjoyed each serving. Well done Stella's Cucina.

                      Excellent atmosphere and staff. Food was very good but menu is somewhat limited and is definitely overpriced. There are a lot of really great options in Boulder to get a really good meal at a much better price. It was a nice experience but don’t feel the need to return other than maybe for a drink and app as the best part is atmosphere.

                      First time visit. Beautiful and elegant space. Nice attentive service, interesting and varied menu and great cocktails. We will definitely return.

                      Service was a bit disjointed, whereas the wine with our meal didn’t come until we were done eating our main course, and some people’s plates were cleared before everyone finished. The food was good, but nothing made it stand out from other upscale restaurants in Boulder. The wines were delicious, and the decor/atmosphere is beautiful. Definitely a place to be seen.

                      The Stella signature salad  had no dressing and our server wasn’t around to check on us or give us a chance to ask for some for at least 20 minutes.  We also had to wait a good 20 minutes to get any service when we sat down.  The risotto was delicious  but the service lacked for a restaurant of this caliber  and price point.

                      Fantastic atmosphere and friendly staff from the moment we walked in. The hostess is a charming and engaging woman from the Isle of Capri. Our waiter, Florin, is an affable Italian guy who's a dead-ringer for comedian Nate Bargatze. The service was top-notch and the food was outstanding.

                      Outstanding at all levels! I selected Stella Cucina for my Birthday dinner last night and it was amazing from the staff, food, ambiance!! My new favorite!
