The restaurant was founded in 2023 by owner Stella Spanu, a Boulder local. Honoring her Italian heritage and embracing her passion for food and hospitality, Spanu’s philosophy is to have a dining experience that stimulates all senses by incorporating visual art, design, music, premier service, comfortable seating and fresh, authentic Italian cuisine. The space, an Art Deco inspiration, was conceptualized and built by architect Miguel Quismondo.

Stella's is showcasing a world-class menu, highlighting traditions from all over Italy, with house-made pastas with imported ingredients directly from Italy, and locally sourced ingredients from Colorado farms. The menu is accompanied by an extensive selection of Italian wines and specialty cocktails.

Friday and Saturday, after dinner service, the space will transform into a lounge with a dance floor with a state-of-the-art sound system, while guests are encouraged to enjoy beverages, the dance floor, and a wide variety of music.

                                                          My husband and I went there to celebrate an anniversary and loved it! The food was excellent as was the service. They gave us a complimentary glass of champagne to celebrate. It was a little difficult to find as there is no signage outside. Look for a big silver door with the letter “S” on it. Would highly recommend for a fun night out!

                                                          I’ve loved Stella’s since the first time I went in June 2024. It has gone down in quality since then. Last night was notably disappointing. The mushroom appetizer had hardly any mushrooms compared to the one from June 2024. The burrata had no personality and was not very good. The salad around it was messy and was the opposite of the impressive dishes I’ve had at Stella’s before. The tartare was also tasteless. The desserts were good but not anything special compared to other high end restaurants. The service was also a little flat compared to prior visits. They weren’t as attentive nor as friendly. One good thing was the hostess stand. They were both very friendly and efficient.

Great modern decor, very friendly and helpful server, clever cocktails and the food is amazing - seriously everything we ordered was delicious. Wish we weren’t from out of town - we would be regulars if we lived in Boulder!

                                                          Very enjoyable dinner — we will be back! Limited, but fine wine selection and the food was delicious. Loved the short ribs and my husband enjoyed his pasta.

                                                          The ambience and service is unprecedented, however, the food is lackluster and leaves you wanting more. Not only are the portion sizes extremely small for the price you pay; The flavor is also lacking and texture is nonexistent.

                                                          Stella's is simply fabulous. Food, service, ambiance are all absolutely impeccable. I have just one caution for people like us who may not like the VERY loud electronic dance music that begins at 8pm (really really wish they would not start the music until after 9pm)... if you want more of a quiet dinner, plan to arrive by 6pm so you can be on your way home before the headache inducing thumping bass begins.
