   The service was amazing - all staff was very attentive. The food was excellent. The homemade pasta was SO good. Highly recommend

   Gracious service and warm ambiance, but food was disappointing. Lasagna- mushy, overcooked. Pasta with saffron & pistachio sauce tasted clammy, pizza buffalo and truffles pizza - while quite generous on truffles and pretty thin, was not crispy and somehow lacked in flavor. Short ribs with polenta - generous portion, the the meat was meh, loved the polenta. Special drink - Limoncello martini was yummy

   We had a wonderful time. The food was delicious, and our server was spectacular. We were a rather large group, but this was handled seamlessly by our server. She was very patient with us explaining each menu item and offered suggestions based on our personal preference. We did not feel rushed, although the restaurant was busy. This to me is key when enjoying a special evening.

   This is a very cute little place, a bit different from others in the LI restaurant world. It is quite small, cooking space semi visible. They have some very innovative (but not 'weird') dishes. This not a place for a large group - one was seated next to us as we were finishing and they were terribly crowded, as were we. I was VERY disappointed that the waiter who took our order stopped coming to our table because they were so busy, and he never brought the take out items we had ordered with our meals. Was fun to try this, and we enjoyed it, but the service was inadequate for this price point

   We went for their pre fixe dinner w wine included and how on earth could they not offer red wine as part of the special? They said they were “out” it was a Wednesday that we ate! Also, only 2 options for dessert and they were “out” of one of them! The red sauce tasted like tomato juice, no flavor…for my arrabiata I had to ask for red pepper flakes because it wasn’t spicy at all! The restaurant itself has a nice ambiance, beautifully appointed, good play list and attentive staff…very very pricey for portion size!!!

    I have NEVER written a negative review, so rest assured Stellina has earned it. Having a husband who is a chef I fully understand what goes into building a restaurant and keeping it afloat (as well as the possible repercussions of negative reviews). I tried to make my displeasure known but it fell on the manager’s deaf ears. We had a reservation for 6pm and at exactly 6pm we sat down at our table. The food was quite good but the portions were small, especially taking into consideration the pricing. What was most displeasing, was within five minutes of getting our coffee/tea for dessert we were given the check. Five minutes after that we were asked if we had taken care of the bill (we had not) and within 2 minutes the manager came to tell us people were waiting for our table and we needed to leave. We explained that there was still coffee/tea in our cups, we were not finished, yet the manager said that we must give up the table. She said that the policy is even stated on open table - which I don’t see anywhere. We were on the street by 7:35! It was embarrassing.
