Welcome to The Stile Bridge, we have recently re-opened under new ownership and management following our sister restaurant "The Poet at Matfield".
We serve food lunch and dinner from Tuesday to Sunday, serving drinks & Bar snacks all day.
We source all our produce locally, finding inspiration from South America, Asia, South Africa and Europe to bring together a "New World" menu with Wines from across the earth to compliment your meal.

We have been visiting Stilebridge a few times enjoying the atmosphere, and the Sunday Roasts, which have generally been fantastic. However this time around the experience didn't get five stars. The dining area was very cold when we arrived, and the usually stunning open fire was left to die down resulting to a smoky room; few people had to move to different tables because of it. The radiators were not on, neither were the fairly lights, and there was no seasonal music on. It felt like we were eating in a cold library. Whilst the service was prompt and polite as usual, something was at a miss that day, and hopefully a better attention to detail is visible next time. The food was great...but went cold very soon due to the dining room being so cold.

Much, much more than pub grub, the Stile Bridge never fails to deliver. Couple this with the warm welcome and attentive service and what emerges is a winner. Subtle, complex and often unexpected flavours meld to make an unforgettable experience, no less-so in the case of this Sunday roast, preceded by the bread with smokey oil and olives. We'll be back time and time again. Thanks!

A lovely birthday meal for a very special birthday. I really loved the relaxed atmosphere and the quality food.

We had an excellent lunch at the Stilebridge yesterday. We shared the starter of meatballs and the sticky pudding dessert and both were very tasty. Unusually my husband and I both chose the same main, pork sirloin. The pork was very tender and we thoroughly enjoyed our lunch.

Our second time eating here, first time was lunch and now dinner, couldn’t fault it! The food is first class, the staff are attentive and so friendly. I was driving so didn’t have a drink and the manager very kindly offered me a non alcoholic fizz on the house, which was delicious. We weren’t rushed the food came out in perfect time and cooked to perfection! Highly recommend and we will definitely return!

Another great Sunday lunch; the roast beef was exceptionally good and all of the trimmings were cooked to perfection. We’ll be back!

Such a lovely restaurant. The staff are always so welcoming and friendly. The food is so delicious and of a high standard. I love this place!
