The house salad was really good. My mussels were just OK. The rotisserie chicken and fries were very good. Wine recommended was nice. We were seated at the counter near the windows. Perhaps I made that mistake in my reservation but they were extremely uncomfortable. We should have asked to be re-seated at a table or the bar. It was so uncomfortable after 30 minutes we wanted to be done with our meal and leave.

Great atmosphere, with friendly staff. Comprehensive wine list, whilst not cheap, had some first class wines, the St Joseph was excellent.

Seated downstairs which had zero atmosphere or ambience and there were only a few tables. I would not return to their downstairs tables. it’s the same price as upstairs with no ambience downstairs. Chicken was average and overpriced and didn’t come with separate gravy - there was nothing special about the roast chicken .. The house salad was just a few green leaves. Service was attentive if a little slow at times .. There was only one server for the basement level tables.

Although the food and the general atmosphere was good, we found the service to not be up to standard. The waitress was unsure about the menu and on how and when take the order/clean the table.
