Located in Heart of Covent Garden London, only few minutes from the station. Strand Tandoori Restaurant is an Indian and Bangladeshi restaurant. It has established in 1978 and is proudly serving it's customers authentic food over 30 years. They are specialised in Tandoori dishes as well as numerous different curries, and Balti.

    Photos published by OpenTable are not real, the place is not that tidy and nice looking. Food is normal and in exchange of that, you get bad service and long wait. Price can be low considering the location but still expensive for the experience you get.

    On 25th evening most restaurants are closed. Strand Tandoori was one of the few open. They had 2 rooms, one on the Mai’s floor that was crowded and one upstairs with less people. They didn’t register well open table booking but they managed to give us the table. Service was good. The guys did their best to accommodate us and were very nice. The food was average.

    It’s cheap (we had 3 ppl eat for 40£), but the food is very average and the place is cramped and small. The waiters are very friendly, kind and attentive.

    Possibly the best Indian restaurant in London’s West End. A very small establishment so it is advisable to make reservations and be prepared to dine near other tables. One change from our visit two years ago - the only method of payment is cash. Otherwise a delicious and pleasant dinner. And surprisingly, the proximity of fellow patrons (perhaps because it was Christmas) made the experience even more joyful.

    Waited for 50 minutes for our mediocre food to arrive. The place was extremely congested and no ventilation in the restaurant. Definite miss

    We were a table of 10. The meal was as good as we have in our favourite tandoori restaurant. Outstanding for such a busy area, fab location. So easy for theatre land, Covent Garden etc

    Really good food in a curry house you might expect in Tooting more than Covent Garden. Good value. Great discovery.

    The food was served hot and was absolutely wonderful. Unfortunately the service was comical, almost to the point of rudeness by one or 2 staff. Plates and other items just dropped onto the table where they stood, not given to the actual person. Started taking order then stopped and walked off. Started dealing with someone else and never came back. Thankfully one staff member was lovely and on the ball. Food fab but wouldn't go again
