Enjoy unapologetically authentic Thai food in the East End. All food is made from scratch by native Thai chef and James Beard Award winner for Best Chef: Texas Benchawan Jabthong Painter.

Chef Benchawan and her husband—who also spend time in their Bangkok home each year—have painstakingly built out a restaurant that would fit into Bangkok’s hip Thong Lor neighborhood, but they have located it in Houston. Expect trendy Thai vibes, music, strong cocktails and an adventurous wine list to accompany Chef Benchawan’s acclaimed dishes.

When booking your reservation, all children—regardless of age—must be included in the head count. The largest party Street to Kitchen can accommodate is 6 people. This was my second visit to STK but was my first visit for dinner. Drinks & food were all outstanding. Chef G creates amazing food & everyone who works there is extremely helpful & friendly. All the dishes we had were wonderful, but the Bronzino was a standout! Am going back in a few weeks with out of town family coming for the Rodeo. Can’t wait!

Excellent food, some is very spicy (e.g. green papaya salad). Probably best in a group to taset several items. Great choice for dinner.

Innovative, creative, delicious food. Yes, the spice level is high but the waiter was very clear up front on every dish we discussed. Attentive friendly but not obsequious service. The setting is very different from the “old Bangkok” feel of the previous location but absolutely beautiful and quietly elegant. Easily a top ten spot in Houston.

By far one of my favorite restaurants in Houston, the food is so delicious I cannot complain one bit. The service was on Valentine’s Day so I’m going to say the servers were pretty slammed but other than that everything was perfect. Can’t wait to come back

This restaurant is on Houston Chronicles top 20 for a reason, best Thai food in town! Be warned, the mild is hot!
