One of the most fun experiences I’ve ever had at a restaurant! Even though I went alone, I was seated with some very sweet people. Thank you, George and Norm for a wonderful evening and thank you to the restaurant for the absolute wonderful service wonderful food and fantastic wine selections from Far Niente. I can’t wait to come back again.

Attended a Far Niente wine dinner at Ludwigs. The food prep was spot on for the wines being served. The service was excellent and the staff most accommodating.

The place is pretty in the main dining room but the food was fair at best. Our duck was very poor. It had no flavor, it was not crispy and the side dish was inedible. When asked to remove it from the bill, they only removed half the charge. They charged 8 dollars for split plate but did not split anything. The ambience is lovely but the food is extremely expensive and not good. Had to get extra charges removed from the bill. Wine not served correctly either. The Sonnenalp has a great lobby with nice apres ski.

Not fine dinning by any extent. Food was not to par; tasteless and portions were ridiculous. Food did not taste fresh.

It is a very expensive restaurant that does not match the food quality and service. I suggest to try something else.

Sadly a very unpleasant experience last night, (Christmas Day dinner)which was so disappointing after having had a FABULOUS dining experience last year during the holiday season. Several issues were at play here. We texted AND called to say we were running a bit late - (8:00 reservation & we arrived around 8:17 pm) Upon arrival a very rude “hostess” Alejandra, told us she wasn’t sure we could be seated, as the last seating was at 8:00, which immediately put us off - not just what she said, but also the manner in her smug, unprofessional delivery… truly shocking for this fine establishment. The manager Cosme then appeared to tell us that we could be seated but we would have a very compressed time to dine at their “Christmas Buffet”. For my part I did not realize that there was a buffet & that it was the only option for dinner. At $195 per person to be rushed & treated poorly was not exactly the way we imagined to spend our Christmas family dinner. We were stuck, as there is a penalty of either $50 or $85 (I don’t remember which) per person. Cosme said he could try to override this, but was not definitive. We ended up staying, as the circumstances at that point left us with few options. The buffet was plentiful and varied, but at this time in the evening, somewhat “picked over”, descriptive signage removed, and many hot items were cold. We took much of our dessert items “to go”, as the staff began having their meal as we were trying to complete our own. Needless to say, we were SO looking forward to returning to a place which held fond memories for us & left with very negative ones.

An absolutely wonderful Christmas Day experience! The buffet had so many delicious choices for us to enjoy. A true culinary delight. Meats, cheeses, salads, seafoods that included stone crab, shrimp, oysters and sushi for starters, then succulent beef tenderloin, roasted goose, lobster ravioli, along with several side dishes for the main course. The dessert choices were incredible, even offering freshly made cotton candy for the kids. We loved it so much, that we plan to make it a new family tradition for Christmas.

Very enjoyable though we were told when we arrived to an empty dining room that the OpenTable reservation gave us the table in a fairly busy walkway tight to the wall with not lighting. The other tables, though empty, were reserved for non-OpenTable guests. As the restaurant is part of a hotel we weren’t particularly surprised but it does tell you the risk of not booking directly if you can.

What a wonderful way to spend Thanksgiving day at the buffet! The dessert selection was worth it alone! Highly recommend
