Discover the taste of quintessential Jamaican cuisine, refined with a modern day twist. Enchanting island flavours are infused into every dish with herbs and spices grown right here in our garden. At Half Moon Resort we are committed to sourcing locally grown and seasonal produce. The Sugar Mill Restaurant is as historic as it is iconic. You will be overcome by a sense of awe as you enter the former Running Gut Estate. It is nestled in an alcove beside a 17th century water mill. You can feel the history within the existing walls that once served as the foundation of a sugar cane plantation dating back to 1676.

    Ambience and setting is great but did not love the food. The crayfish bisque was my favorite but not necessary to book here instead of the walk-in restaurants at Half Moon.

    wonderful, intimate experience set in a beautiful outdoor (indoor also available) garden. Collin our server was knowledgeable about food, drinks and wine, treated us with respect and provided 5 star service. This was a truly unique experience and a must visit in Jamaica.

    The service staff was excellent, and provided a memorable birthday experience! Scenery was beautiful and excellent for pictures. The price for the food is steep.

    The ambiance was wonderful. The service was excellent in the beginning, but as more parties came in it felt as though they were too busy to attend to our part of the restaurant. The appetizers were excellent. The steak was over cooked and tough. Would not likely return.

    When we arrived, it took us almost 10mins before we were acknowledged but the Hostess did apologize for the delay. It was my Birthday and I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the ambiance. The lobster thermidor was chef’s kiss. They were kind enough to offer a birthday plate for dessert and sang happy birthday too. I loved every minute of it and was a great experience for my second time back.

    Delicious food (the lobster proved unique and the oxtail pasta excellent), attentive service and a beautiful venue. Wonderful end to our time in Jamaica.

    Food was delicious! Enjoyed my salmon and crab cakes! Good perfectly! One of my better meals here in Jamaica.
