Today high above the hustle and bustle of North Orange County, like a crown on the hilltop, you will find built in the tradition of an English country manor the stately Summit House Restaurant.
The Summit House, renowned for its magnificent panoramic views and old-world charm, is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team. Highlights include our world-famous Stockyards of Chicago Roast Prime Ribs of Beef, “melt-in-your-mouth” oak wood grilled USDA prime steaks, our thirty-year favorite sautéed John Dory, locally grown vegetables hand-picked from neighboring Back Sheep Farms, and of course our famous creamed corn au gratin.
Whether it be an intimate get together for two or two hundred of your closest friends, come to the “Top of the Hill”, the Summit House Restaurant, "Your Special Occasion Place".

    This was our 24th year in a row to celebrate Valentine's Day at Summit House. There were four of us. we had the escargot and crab cakes for appetizers. Both were great. We all started out with either the Summit House salad or the French Onion soup - all were delicious. We ordered the prime rib and John Dory for dinner. The main dishes were excellent and the sides of mashed potatoes, corn, and creamed spinach were enjoyed by all of us. The men had Old Fashions and the women had martinis (one a dirty vodka and one espresso). The drinks were perfect! We enjoyed a bottle of wine with dinner. The service was spectacular, the ambiance was cozy, and the overall vibe was relaxing. We were not rushed at all. We keep coming back year after year because it is such a special place that never disappoints. Everyone on the staff was outstanding. The bartender was kind and answered all of our questions, the waitress was outstanding, and the manager Mark came and greeted us. Our night could not have been better!

    This was our second time dining here. We made prior reservations; which is a must. Our server, Maria was friendly and was attentive. We ordered their Special, which was a Lamb Shank served with Risotto. I also ordered their Ribeye. Overall, the food tasted fantastic. To complete our meal, we also got their Crab cakes, and to end the dinner, we got their Profiteroles. Love the atmosphere and view.

    From start to finish, our experience at Summit House was absolutely outstanding. The ambiance was warm and inviting, perfect for a romantic dinner or a gathering with friends. The service was impeccable—our server Matt was attentive, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. Now, the food—simply phenomenal! Every dish was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. We highly recommend the cottage cut and the creamed corn au gratin, both of which were cooked to perfection. The cocktail and wine selection was also impressive, with a great variety to pair with our meal. We left feeling completely satisfied and already planning our next visit. If you’re looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Summit House is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

    Great service! Ask for Matthew. Food was superb. Best Prime rib I’ve ever had.( I’m talking to you Lawrey’s!) Don’t miss the creamed corn or the French onion soup. Terrific ambience , quiet environment and a very skilled piano player on hand. The view is nice as well. Now my favorite restaurant !

    Food was great (as always)!!! Our server (Lance) was fabulous. He didn't rush us for ordering. He perfectly timed coming to the table to get our orders for each phase of the dinner. Very personable. A beautiful experience especially since we brought our dear friends from out of state for their first time. Also, the valet service was top notch. Although it was extremely busy at the restaurant they quickly retrieved our vehicle!!!
