Today high above the hustle and bustle of North Orange County, like a crown on the hilltop, you will find built in the tradition of an English country manor the stately Summit House Restaurant.
The Summit House, renowned for its magnificent panoramic views and old-world charm, is famous for the amazing flavors and incredible food presentations created by Executive Chef Timothy Plumb’s culinary team. Highlights include our world-famous Stockyards of Chicago Roast Prime Ribs of Beef, “melt-in-your-mouth” oak wood grilled USDA prime steaks, our thirty-year favorite sautéed John Dory, locally grown vegetables hand-picked from neighboring Back Sheep Farms, and of course our famous creamed corn au gratin.
Whether it be an intimate get together for two or two hundred of your closest friends, come to the “Top of the Hill”, the Summit House Restaurant, "Your Special Occasion Place".

    I have been coming here for over 10 years. It's my favorite place to celebrate my birthday. Love that they decorate for the holidays. Service and food are always on point.

    My husband, son and friends always enjoy dining at Summit House for the last 30 years. The John Dory Fish is amazing,mild and buttery. Of course the prime rib is always the best with the cream corn and green spinach. We always enjoy Jennifer, our server with amazing service. Thank you to all who make this dining experience amazing!

    Got the 22oz Rib Eye, Medium Rare and the steak was not worth the money. The steak was under seasoned and was not very flavorful. I've had steaks at other restaurants that cost half as much that tasted miles better. My got the 10oz fillet and it was dry. We were disappointed and unfortunately will probably not be coming back. Cocktails, Caesar salad, and potatoes au gratin were the highlights of the dinner, everything else was average at best. Ambiance was very nice and cozy, felt very regal in the main dining room. Fireplace and noise level were very accommodating. The steaks we purchased were expensive and weren't well executed. Similar steaks at Chop House and Ruth's Chris were miles better than these steaks and weren't as expensive.

    We have been to Summit House a couple times before but this time was our favorite. Daisy was amazing and our Castle cut prime rib was outstanding. We sat at the bar before we went to our table and enjoyed our drinks. We had so much fun before we ate that we went back and enjoyed another drink before we left. The two bartenders were fantastic and their cocktails that they were making were top notch! We had such a wonderful experience we will definitely be back sooner than later.

    Service was excellent. The prime rib was exceptionally tender and juicy. Lobster bisque was a bit salty. Bacon in wedge salad was hard. One bite was inedible. Blue cheese in salad was fantastic. Truffle dessert for birthday was so-so, but I’d try a different dessert in the future. Ambience was wonderful. We enjoyed the window seat with beautiful view of city below

    We celebrated my wife's 30th birthday at Summit House, and it was an amazing experience! The service was outstanding—our server, Linda, was attentive and gave great recommendations. The patio seating we reserved offered a stunning view, adding to the special occasion. A thoughtful touch was the birthday card my wife received, signed by all the staff working that evening.

    I don't say it lightly when I say Summit House has top notch service. Every single time we go, from the greeter, to the person escorting us to our table, the server, the manager who comes by to make sure everything's good, and even the staff who come to bus the table and box our leftover food at the end of the meal make you feel like you're royalty for the night. There's definitely a reason why Summit House is always busy and making a reservation is a must!
