The overall experience was phenomenal! It was such a quaint and lovely place with a calm, and high class atmosphere as well as service.

We had a phenomenal experience. Everything was delicious. We weren’t rushed at all. The time between courses was perfectly spaced. Our waitress was, knowledge, attentive, available, but never overbearing or intrusive, and most importantly a lovely person. We left happy and excited to plan our next visit.

This cafe- actually more of an upscale Bistro-was fabulous! Each dish was made with care. Oysters on the half shell were plump and fresh.Best onion soup this side of France-thin onions in a broth w flavor, not your daily helping of salt. Mussels were in a perfect sauce, escargot was wonderful, The lobster was tender- cooked to perfection. Claves liver got raves as did the bouillabaisse. The cassoulet was fabulous in a light herb broth. Don’t miss the wonderful light & crusty bread. Great service- efficient & friendly. Desserts made w such care & not too much sugar. Passion fruit martini was excellent. Our new favorite place.

What an incredible hidden gem in my own backyard! I've driven past this restaurant a million times and didn't realize that the experience of a cozy, charming Cafe with amazing food was so easily accessible. I almost want to keep the secret to myself but it's too good!!!

Wonderful menu. Excellent service. Extensive dessert list. They were easily able to accommodate a gluten intolerance. Will definitely dine there again.

The Sunflower Cafe is a beautiful little restaurant located in the heart of Bayport. We were greeted by Chef Stace. The ambiance is very pleasant and quaint. The lighting was a little too bright for a romantic evening. The bread basket offered was delicious, but we were not informed there was a cost associated with it. Our escargot appetizer was outstanding. The two main courses were both excellent, (Fillet mignon and fillet of sole almandine) with the exception of my side of mashed potatoes, which was missing and came out lukewarm. The wine, a nice Bordeaux, was reasonably priced. The biggest disappointment was dessert. The Pavlova was missing the custard and was quite dry. Maybe an off night for the pastry chef being it was New Year’s eve. We may return again to try their brunch.

I have ben here a handful of time since its opening. It never disappoints. Casual, et upscale the menu has something for everyone. Daily specials and a Sunday Brunch makes this a win win.
